Dr. Milton Wolf confronts Sen. Pat Roberts about debate (video)

EMPORIA, Kansas – Dr. Milton Wolf on Wednesday attended an event at the Emporia Chamber of Commerce where Pat Roberts was to hear from business owners.

Wolf said he modified his schedule to attend the event.

That is where he confronted Roberts to debate ahead of the August 5th primary.

Senator Roberts told Wolf now wasn’t the time.

Wolf told Roberts he would go anywhere to debate.

Dr. Milton Wolf sent the following statement to KSN:

“I have offered Pat Roberts numerous opportunities to debate because I feel Kansans deserve to hear from those seeking to represent us before we cast a vote. This election is going to be close. Sinking in the polls, Pat Roberts has unleashed a volley of new negative attack ads to try and stop his freefall in the polls. It’s time for him to abandon his Washington style tactics, and actually debate the issues like any real leader would.”

Roberts knows that all he has to do is hold out till Tuesday, when he'll either win or lose.

But kudos to Wolf for confronting the old coot!

Just received a pro-Pat Roberts mailer send out by Kansas Radiologists.

One wonders why they don't think much of Milton Wolf.

Could it be they really aren't that conservative of a group?

Are you sure they're a real organization and not just some group thrown together for the campaign and calling themselves that?

It "could" be all sorts of things but so could Wolf.

I'm less suspicious of them than I am of him and why he's only found that we in KS really need him, once he found that he was a distance cousin of Barack's.

A friend of mine asked him about some issues and he not so politely told her to go to his website, it was where he listed everything he stood for. She said she was only asking about one or two things but he insisted that she'd learn "everything she needed to know about him from his website."

Not a good way to talk to someone who might just be willing to give you her vote.

“This is not the time. We incumbents have layers of handlers you have to go through interact with us. All of our minutes are carefully orchestrated and our appearances are planned months in advance.”

If that doesn’t illustrate why Pat Roberts needs to go, nothing does.

The Kansas Republicans recently put together a list of former elected R’s who support the Rat in the gubernatorial race. One of the people on the list came out and said she never agreed to anything like that and supports Brownback.

They're not, I checked but Wolf's already out after Jerry Moran (our Jr. Senator from KS) so losing against Roberts, doesn't bother him.

Wolf has been bitten by the political narcissus persona and is not backing down no matter whom he has to run against - he just knows he's what we need!

How much time does he contribute to his medical practice doing this????

I like how they’re trying to smear Wolf because he lives in Leawood. Leawood is in Kansas, just about 2 hours from the capital, and a lot closer than Virginia.

That would be former Rep. Jan Meyers.

In reality, she doesn't truly support Brownback, he's too conservative for her but she doesn't want to have 'rat endorsement go down as one of her last political acts.

The other RINOs, they're not conservatives anyway and most got swept out of office by our "clean sweep" elections, so are really bummed.

Well, if you want my wife and me to leave our ballot blank in November, go right ahead and vote for Roberts. I’m not voting for Thad Cochran’s boy.

We have more than our share of milquetoast, liberal Republicans. Whatever Brownback does, he deserves high praise for purging the moderates.

Really? Isn’t this the same Pat Roberts who says he goes home every time he has an opponent and he doesn’t even own a home in his home state?

There are two others on the ballot besides Roberts and Wolf, so there's no need to leave your ballot blank.

Wolf is the Scott Brown (MA) who get's elected until people find out just how unappetizing he was, now he's running in New Hampshire.

Wolf's a "one hit wonder" and has little personal integrity to back him up.

This is a recent trend that I date back to the townhall meetings of 2010 that really woke up the conservative base. Remember when Katy Abram questioned Arlen Specter and was cheered by the crowd during a townhall meeting during his last run at the Senate? "You have awakened a sleeping giant," she told him.

Then it spread to Claire McCaskill and Pete Stark? Sheila Jackson Lee taking a cell phone call during her own town hall while a constituent was still asking her a question?

Well, now all politicians are avoiding the townhall event, instead opting for "virtual" townhalls held over conference calls on telephones.

And now they are avoiding public debates, too.

They are avoiding the people, their own constituents.

Here’s a test for Roberts. Will he publicly denounce the Chamber of Mary Landreiu? If not, then he can take a running leap.

What has Wolf said about Roberts that wasn’t true? It’s really sad that any Freeper would vote for this McConnell hack from VIrginia. Bob

AFAIK his constituents are located at:

1615 H Street, NW Washington, DC 20062

That's the HQ for the US Chamber of Commerce
