Ithaca College says male victim was sexually assaulted on campus

A male victim was sexually assaulted at Ithaca College shortly after midnight on Sunday, according to the IC Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management.

The attack occurred around 12:10 a.m. Sunday on the walking trail behind Wood Field between Circle Apartments and the Terraces, a statement from IC said.

Is it established that the attacker was male? The cited article doesn't indicate the gender of the attacker. Are there other sources that do?

Or is it just everyone's assumption (including mine) that if the attacker was a woman, that the victim would not make a complaint? The fact that it wasn't "rape" according to the book (no penetration) (see #8), means it could have been a woman in search of satisfying an urge.

So if the victim was a guy interested in maintaining his celibacy, it would be reason to complain.

Not that I doubt it was a gay assault; Occam's Razor says it was. Just sayin'...

* Pale-skinned white male

* Approximately 5’11 in height

* Brown/blondish colored hair, medium length

* Very blue eyes

* Very long fingers

* Last seen wearing a white V-neck tee-shirt, black skinny jeans and dark-colored “Toms” shoes

I’m going out on a limb and saying that if the victim noticed the shoes, then the victim is gay. It may still have been rape, but it’s gay on gay in my opinion.

Ah, okay. In that case, scratch my speculation in #11 that it could have been a female attacker.

Another speculation, then.

A gay date gone bad. Victim and attacker have major spat, victim walking home, attacker comes up and assaults him.

That's the only way the victim could have that much detail. "Very" blue eyes, indeed. At midnight? It wasn't that light out, especially where they were walking. The victim knew his attacker. Well.
