What is needed to be pointed out is that while all the various heads of US deparments of government are suggested to run them are recomended by the president.. They’re sworn to uphold, protect, and support the constitution. Not the executive branch. They are approved to serve by the Senate in a procedure known as advise and consent. Therefore they and their respective departments are answerable to both houses of congress which funds these operations and can refuse an executive order if that order works contrary to existing legislation or the interests of the country ..

There are manuals and plans and protocols at the CDC designed to deal with deadly outbreaks. Why else have a Center for Disease Control? Duh.

They are gathering dust because to protect us from Ebola-hot nations means we also have the ability to close our southern border.

Social Justice demands open borders. So what if illegals kill Americans and an epidemic kills thousands or more?

Other tyrannical governments at least worked to protect their countries while they oppressed their people. The USSR, China at least strove to perform the first duty of government, protect their people.

Shut up, admit white guilt, American guilt, and accept death if it comes your way. Obama and his people say you deserve it.

I think many in this nation actually want something like Ebola to flatten our society. There are many leftist factions that have something to gain and due to their utilitarian outlook, they are brutal enough to see a pandemic as a means to and end.

First, the fascist element; statists always are looking toward justification for their control of the population. What a boon to take total control of the nation while an undiscriminating disease decimates the populace. Sure, lefties will go, but, as they like to say: “if you want an omelet you've got to break some eggs”. The elite and connected, of course, won't be subject because they will have the best care available.

Secondly, the environmentalists will be happy (even with death in their own ranks) because the deepest green among them long for parasitic humans to be wiped out. Read their literature to find out how truly whacked they really are.

Finally, all the rank and file useful idiots will be apoplectic about the ravages of a tidal wave of disease. Already shrouded in the nanny state apron, they'll scream, protest, throw bricks and be amplified by the press for more, more, more state control and the safety of a concrete box and alfalfa pellets in a vast federal rabbet warren someplace.

Personally, I'm not too excited about Ebola. When the neighbor starts bleeding from the eyes I guess I take it seriously. Even then, there is a better place than here . . .

“It’s reactionary. It’s not responsive,”

That's what I've been saying about how everyone is handling this since day 1. A cacophony of this won't make a difference though.

If the powers that be charged with preventing & controlling this don't have our best interests at heart and can't demonstrate that at the onset of the first outbreak in decades, then hopefully enough of the right side survives to change how this is dealt with next time (regardless whether it is this emergency, or another, that brings us to that point).

OBAMA HURTLING AMERICA BACK TO THE DARK AGES

Dallas Today: Responding to Ebola with protective clothing

Rome Centuries Ago: Responding to the Bubonic Plague

And like then there is an epicenter to the eruption of this deadly contagion.

Caffa to all of Europe and the Mediterranean

But unlike then, when the understanding and means to stop the spread at it origin was lacking, today we have the understanding and means - but Obama (for radical ideological reasons) refuses to allow America to stop the spread of Ebola from Africa to America.

The game of Ebola Roulette continues...

*click* spin *click* spin *click* spin…BANG!

Eeeee-bolllll-aaaaaa ping!

Bring Out Your Dead

We’re gonna need

a bigger cart!

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

I have no proof that it’s lying, however I would be willing to bet my last EBT card that it’s the usual “don’t panic” stuff to appease an ignorant public.
