Joni Ernst trumpeting the Iowa way; shakes up her State.

Joni Ernst, U.S. Senate candidate, has a banana, a cup of coffee, and a 31-foot RV painted with American flags, landscapes of corn, and hogs.

She also has Iowa stretching vastly out in front of her. Seven counties today, eight counties yesterday, 99 counties in 44 days, and a tour she’s calling “Iowa Knows Best” that is intended to persuade Iowans to send her to Washington so she can show the federal government a better way: “the Iowa way.” The Iowa way is fiscal responsibility, she has been telling the people on this tour. The Iowa way is cutting taxes and balancing budgets. “The Iowa way is working,” she says at most stops — it’s the rest of the country that’s broken.

“Let’s take a look here,” Ernst says, boarding the RV, setting her breakfast on the table and scanning the morning’s itinerary. First stop: Linn County, and the Iowa Federation of Republican Women.

“Ready?” asks the campaign staffer who does the driving.

Ernst, 44, the biscuit-baking, gun-shooting, twangy, twinkly farm girl and mother whose ads emphasize her knowledge of hog castration (“Make ’em squeal, Joni!” yell her fans) puts down the itinerary and nods. Ready, she tells the driver — and a tour she feels will help determine not only an election but also the soul of Iowa is rolling again.

I note the Leftist Des Moines Register showed its true face by endorsing Braily last week.

I hope this lady can win in a pesky state like IA; and I hope she is the conservative people seem to think she is once she takes office. I hope she won’t be another Kelly Ayotte.

something has changed. the MSM is no longer sliming conservative women for being either stupid (sarah palin, michelle bacmann) or batty (niki haley, christine o’donnell -— okay, wait. maybe they had a point on that one).

either that, or they are planning something big for joni just before election day.

Of course the Des Moines Register will always endorse the Liberal a**holes. But, Joni scorched their drawers. She refused to show up for their little, “Gotcha” interview. GOOD FOR HER! If only Sarah Palin would have blown-off a few interviews from Liberal sources.

Good for her.
I can't imagine sitting across from the insufferable snob Rox Laird.

This was Braley’s race to lose and he may well do it.

Nah... I think that if the MSM had a “surprise” for Joni, they’d have pulled it off by now. She’s running away with this thing. I think she has crossed the threshold of being unstoppable.

I read that she cancelled her interview with the Des Moines Register Editorial board as well as another LSM outlet last week (IIRC it was a Cedar Rapids paper). Her spokesperson said something to the effect of they knew the DM Register was going to endorse Braley anyway, since they always endorse the Dims, and time is precious right now and she’d rather be out speaking with the voters/constituents.

BTW - she was on Huckabee’s show on FNC over the weekend. I like her and hope she wins.

I remember Governor Ray’s press secretary David Oman saying “the Register sets the agenda” for Iowa.

Not any more.

I hope she gets in, but the fraud is such she probably won’t. That and the GOPe is VERY scared of her.

Well, I don’t mean to sound “racist” but, Iowa’s demographics makes voter fraud less likely; doesn’t it?

Not really. The democrat machine in eastern Iowa has the dead voting again.

Also, I saw first hand how the GOP machine handed the caucuses to Romney. Vote fraud is very popular.
