In my ‘going on seventy years’, I’ve never known a man to keep a diary...

Perhaps it was more a journal?

Caught and captured! Time in jail, like life in jail, will be the worst punishment for this ba$tard.

George Washington kept one. One particular item I remember George watching two slaves cut wood. One was efficient. One was not. It annoyed him.

A journal and a diary is the same thing.
To: babygene
Ted Kaczynski, the Unibomber kept a “manifesto” AKA diary ;’)

“There is one witness the second trooper he shot. Not sure how good his testimony will be, but Im sure the State Police has other evidence.”
It’s pretty hard to identify a sniper I would think, and being on the lamb for so long, he’s had plenty of time to get rid of evidence. You can’t just go into court and say “we think he did it”.

Not precisely, I don’t think. Diaries tend to be more emotional, imho.
Still, you may be proven right as this all unfolds. I know little about this criminal’s state of mind.

On May 24, 2012, Kaczynski submitted his current information to the Harvard University alumni association. He listed his eight life sentences as awards, his current occupation as prisoner, and his current address as No. 04475-046, US PenitentiaryMax, P.O. Box 8500, Florence, CO 81226-8500.[108] Ted bombed out...

If you wish to split hairs...so be it. His text was pretty emotional but also unemotional...because he’s a nut!!

From what I understand, the police found some items of Frein’s — the aforementioned diary, clothing, ammo and maybe weapons. I'd have to look it up. If they found the murder weapon, they may be able to match a slug or slugs from the slain officer to the weapon.
I just want to see how this plays out in court. I will say this — that even if he gets the death penalty, I doubt Frein will be executed. Pennsylvania has the death penalty, but it is seldom used.

In my going on seventy years, Ive never known a man to keep a diary...Some men back in the days of literary England men kept "journals."
American men? Not a diary or journal to be found in any of the 50 states and territories. THAT would be for pantywaists!
