After a long year of lessons on our constitutional heritage and expert speakers on many fields, including Dinesh D'Souza, we are going to celebrate with a party on Thursday, November 13, 7PM at Rush Park Auditorium in Los Alamitos.
Attending will be the Band of The California Battalion, a wonderful Civil War Band.
Also we will have one of the finest Lincoln presenters adding to the festivities.

Awesome! I live a couple miles away in Lakewood. I’m glad to hear about your group so close to my home. I’ll make every effort to be there.
WAY cool.
Yankees......
I was in a civil war band in Michigan for several years. This band sounds great.
AKA “the winners”
I will personally tar and feather any Tea Party group that celebrates with a confederate regimental band.
Don't misunderstand: I'm a Civil War buff and enjoy the bands, both blue and gray, and I'll stand for Dixie if that's the local practice. But confederate bands for a political gathering? I don't think so ....
Awesome! If you attend, please introduce yourself to me; I act as M.C. and wear colonial garb.
You play fiddle? I picked up the fiddle while nursing a broken leg. My progress was proportional to the number of painkillers I took....well I thought so, anyway.
This band’s leader has quite a sense of humor. They put on a great show!
bring it on ;^)
I’m reading a great series of books on the Civil War, “Battles and Leaders of the Civil War”, it’s a four book series each book about 760 pages long.
I am half-way done with the first book.
all by the same author?
No not the same author, a newspaper over sever years ran articles written by those on both sides who were involved in the battles.
So when you read about a battle it is 2-3 chapters with opposing views.
It was then at some point put in to book form.
I read online that it is considered to be the foremost reference work on the Civil War.
You can buy them online, cheap.
Wrong color.
