Gov. Scott Walker still hasn't spoken with President Barack Obama about the president's love for America, but the possible contender for the Republican nomination now has an opinion on the subject.

Wisconsin's governor tells "Fox News Sunday" that Obama or "anybody else who is willing to put their name on the ballot certainly has to have the love for country to do that."

A lot of people get into politics for something other than love of country. A lot of them do it for love of self.

Bill Clinton didn’t get into politics for “love of country.” He was SGA president in high school and found it as a way to make him more popular and meet girls. Politics is a great way to meet women and we know that Bill feeds on them.

I know of several college SGA presidents that set their goal to become either governor or some other office. If you look at the history of the governors of the state of Alabama, almost all of them were involved with student government politics. These SGA presidents didn’t run for student government association president because they had a burning desire to help others. It’s about feeding their twisted egos.

There is also the potential for financial gain for some of them that get into politics. The Clintons are now worth over $100 million.

Even Scott Walker was in SGS politics in college at Marquette. I understand that he ran for SGA president but lost. Running for office feeds something within politicians.

Polyticks — many/blood suckers

Got to be honest, Cruz was the Hannity Spotlight Kid.
I think is anything Hannity was giving Jeb enough rope and plenty of chances to hang himself.

Some of Jeb’s CPAC explanations sounded like he knew the right things to say. Trouble is if he is conservative its a worse case of compassionate conservatism than W had and that is NOT what America needs now.

Rudy Giuliani spoke the truth and now we see how courageous he was to do so. It is utterly shameful, sad, and disillusioning to see up-to-now talking heads like O'Reilly, Hannity, Kelly, Kruthammer and other conservatives and their bosses allow this POTUS to threaten their livelihoods if they tell too much truth about this spoiled half black man who really doesn't-love-America...his fathers, immediately family and mentors did-not-either. That is a FACT.

I saw the Cris Wallace interview with Scott Walker and I took Scott’s comments to mean that we Americans assume that anyone who runs for President in this country loves it. We know that is an assumption we should never have made in the first place. Often, people who seek high office are lusting for power over others and want to aggrandize themselves. However, there are those who truly want to serve. They can usually be identified through their past lives, and through their family values. Good people leave good footprints behind for the rest of us. That is why it is dangerous not to vet those who want high office and that is why we are so disturbed when our politicians are not closely looked at.

Obama wanted to be in that position of power,
for the same reasons that leftists wanted him there -

to destroy this country.

It's a silly question.

This is the media's feeble attempt at using "clown questions" to distract and confuse the public and the Republican candidates. This is the media "astro-turffing".

It is obvious.

But we’re not to the breaking point where people stop ridiculing the person pointing out the truth

of the emperor’s new clothes.

“Walker is being a coward. He is afraid to speak his mind.”

I had harsh words for Walker the next day when he first tried to walk back his statement and said he was sure Hussein was a “patriot”. At least one alleged freeper knee-jerk defended Walker by repeating the erroneous headline that said Walker had “doubled down” on his earlier statement, when in fact he had not done so.

Exactly. Why pretend anyone who runs for office loves their country? Does that include every crooked bum?

Walker knows full well the usurper hates this country. Hope and Change.

Jeb is all for amnesty.

Neither deserves my vote.

Nice job having Walker's back, people - not! Did anyone actually examine the logic of Walker's answer? If so, then one would see it for the exploding cigar -aimed at Dems- that it is. If one endeavors to parse the statement: "Anyone who puts his name on the ballot must love his country," then he or she will discover just what a tar-baby of a statement that it is. (If Walker had just caved, as virtually everyone in this board claims, then he would have just simply stated: "Of course, I believe Barack Obama loves his country," and ended this matter simply and cleanly.) If the Dems accept the statement at face-value, then all they have is a ludicrously naïve syllogism which equates being politically active with being patriotic (a trick that only a Republican can pull off); however, if the Dems act on their hate-inspired gut-instincts and dare to attack it, then they risk outing themselves as well as the entire Democratic party (once again, with feeling) as both the cynical and anti-American cretins that they are, this time for all the world to see.

Oops, I had had harsh words for Giuliani, who backed down from his accusation that the Fraud doesn’t love our country and said he was sure Hussein was a “patriot”. Sorry about that. The freeper did repeat the erroneous headline and insisted Giuliani had doubled down, though.

Ugh, I really though Scott Walker was going to be different. He had weathered so many battles in Wisconsin, I really hoped he would remain a true conservative.

I wonder if it is just the media continuously hounding him, or if he has some Republican "strategist" in his ear telling him he has to pull this stuff.

Damn, what I wouldn't give for an honest-to-goodness, unabashed conservative who was willing to stand up for conservative principles without compromise or apology.

If we all hit the abuse button on the usurper’s FB, will he be blocked? Or will we all get raided, arrested and finger printed by the feds? Heck, just visiting FR once will likely get you on The List.
