Texas flooding puts Cruz, GOP in bind on climate change

Hogwash. Go to the Houston Chronicle website today and read how these floods compare to some of the really horrendous floods of the early 1900s, 1920s, and up through the 1950s.

Earlier floods of biblical proportions occurred during longer periods of drought, just as we have experienced now. That is just Texas weather. The only big difference is the trippling of the population and the tremendous growth of urban areas, so more people and homes are affected now.

The California draught is proof of climate change, and so is the heavy rain in Texas. Sounds like a non-falsifiable argument to me, and that ISN’T science.

The global warming crowd live in an alternate universe. Long before there were carbon dioxide producing industries, there were severe droughts and hurricanes. Global warming is a myth constructed to get money from the little people. CNN has no journalistic credibility.

The Texas floods (and the preceding drought) have absolutely nothing to do with so called Global Climate Change.

For all of recorded history, Texas weather has consisted of a series of droughts separated by floods. Nothing has changed.

From 1843 to 1938, the Colorado river basin in Central Texas suffered 15 major floods. That is why the Highland Lakes were constructed in the 1930s through 1950s.

Back in 1914, Clayton NM, had 48 hours of constant rain which flooded the city. Can we blame the glo-bull warming of 1914?

So now they equate flooding with this stupid Chicken Little Climate Change BS... why do we evan have catagories of flooding?... There’s the 10yr, 50yr, 100yr, 500yr and 1,000yr floods. Floods happen. What they will never consider is that the creator God is in control of the earth, and maybe its not just the carbon producing activities of man that must change, but also the heart of a nation that must change.

America has never been more morally bankrupt than she is today under Progressive Communistic Democrat control. Just look at all the hell-hole cities across America, thay are bastions of progressivism. Perhaps if America and all nations for tht mater turned their hearts toward God, His hand of protection would put a stay on bad weather... but I really don’t expect that to be happening. When homosexual marriage has been codified into law by five people of the supreme court, it’ll be just a mater of time before the total breakdown of human society... total lawlessness, and God’s protetions completely removed from America.

I used to have an article about flooding in Southern California back around 1910-1915. It was blamed on a local “rainmaker” breaking the drought.

I live on Lake Travis, and I, for one am delighted to see our lake coming back up!

There is only one natural lake in Texas, for those who do not know this. That would be Caddo Lake in SE Texas.

I grew up in Beaumont Texas, and we had many floods back then—and that was a long time ago—LOL! After the city finally installed a drainage system, I don’t think it floods much anymore.
