Stephen Hayes, of The Weekly Standard and a Fox News contributor and pundit, bombarded GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump at a press conference following Trumps speech at the Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa on Saturdaycontrolling the media availability and yelling as he argued with Trump.
Breitbart News captured part of the exchange on video, and it turns out Hayes was the pundit badgering Trump about his comment on McCain.

To me, the comment is a point in Trump’s favor. He has a direct style. McCain is most irritating. His claim to fame is that he was captured. In one sense, we can thank him for his service. In another sense, he did not actually succeed.

As much as I don’t like John McCain and believe it is time for him to retire, this was uncalled for by Donald Trump

I have to disagree. I believe Trump put his foot in his mouth with this.

“His claim to fame is that he was captured.”
He built his political career on that.

What exactly did Trump say that you find so offensive?

Steve Hayes has broken through to the big leagues with his regular stint on FOX Special Report, and he’s feeling his oats.
Hayes also is rubbing shoulders in DC with plenty of Establishment, who are very nervous of Trump. I mean, the debates are just around the corner.
I’m not excusing Trump’s remark about any former surviving POW, but it begs the point that affects our entire future as a nation. That point is IMMIGRATION INVASION. This matters far more.

I’ve got absolutely no dog in this fight, but Hayes needs to watch calling ANYBODY a clown.

The Men Seeking Men media is out searching for other POWs who were offended by Trump. If they can’t find any,the DNC will buy some for them.

Indeed. Plus those who were in Viet Nam POW camps with him have suggested on more than one occasion that Johnny Boy got special treatment

Hayes has become very vanilla lately. He's lost his cutting edge.....that is, if he ever had much of a one.
Now, like some other Fox regulars these days, he appears to be "going along to get along."
Tucker Carlson should have gotten the gig. He's very fearless and is a great analyst.

Trump makes a career out of foot and mouth disease...and he just keeps on going.
He will never pick and choose his words for his audience. He tells it like it is and some folks find that refreshing and some folks hate it...but that's his Nooo Yawk charm.
To: E. Pluribus Unum
Trump doesn’t know when to keep his mouth shut.
This is the beginning of the end for him.

Steve Hayes wrote a book in the run up to the 2003 Iraq invasion “proving” that Saddam Hussein” was behind 9/11. He has ZERO credibility and is an embarrassment to FNC.
