[Vanity] Trump = End of Weak-Kneed, Apologizing GOPe?

Posted on 07/28/2015 10:40:37 PM PDT by TigerClaws

I'm not sold on Trump as a candidate given his mixed political, private, and business history but I do appreciate he is leading the effort to kill off the constant crawfishing, apologizing, weak approach that most Republicans have been taking post George W.

Even Huckabee followed the pattern of speaking the truth (Obama is setting up millions of Jews for death by fire - atomic if Iran gets the bomb) and not backing down.

Why do they care so much what the media New York elite think of them anyway?

You're REPUBLICAN. They aren't your friend. They'll never like you. They'll bash you at every turn. Get over it!

We need a candidate that'll take the fight right back to them, call out their obvious bias, never apologize for telling the truth, and exhibit they have the balls it takes to be a real president.

Instead, the GOPe is bashing Trump and apologizing on his behalf. Mistake.

The MSM really wants Jeb Bush. They don't want Walker or Cruz, so they are setting Trump up as the GOP leader so when the scandals break (and Trump has plenty of skeletons - like the many Dems he's backed and bankruptcies putting other businesses under that dealt with him), he's Jeb showing up to save the day.

The MSM loves these middle of the road non-conservatives they convince conservatives they have to support because 'they can get elected.'

Trouble is, the unmotivated base doesn't show up and these 'electable candidates' don't win.

Back to the main question, do you think Trump has shown a path for Republicans to stop trying to appease the MSM and man up for a change?

But, Trump is a lefty! FReepers told me so. Even though he’s potentially losing billions in business deals, the media is throwing 40 year old accusations at him, by God he’s not one of us at all. No one can change. Ever!

Republicans have been taking post George W

Since post Ronald Reagan is more like it. As for your question I believe it's like the old adage, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink it. In a word, NO. They are too blind to see.

Not until there is no longer a GOPe.

No Tiger Blood in them. Man bags, Murses and Male polish, but no Tiger Blood.

No Winning either.

I would gladly take a blowhard, egotistical, rude clown with past dealing with Democrats who’s pretty much the only one besides Cruz speaking the truth than ‘above the fray’, polished, so called noble men in Bush and Rubio who will back stabbed conservatives every time

Trump is being Trump and displaying a talent for straight talk that is utterly lacking in every GOPe candidate. I don’t think he could teach it to them after they have drummed out any trace of it in themselves.

If Lindsey Graham, for example, were to suddenly campaign as a straight-shooter, it would come across as utterly insincere and phony. No one would believe it in the guy after his years of dissembling in front of the mics and cameras.

He underscores for the public what FReepers already know: the Republican party is rife with opportunists disguised as civil servants for whom truth-telling is likely the last thing they would be caught doing.

Some freepers I respect say that. A month ago I would have said that Trump is a shallow celebrity clown whose lone skill is making money. I thought his talk about a ‘campaign’ was just reality show nonsense designed to drum up publicity. I’m surprised that I don’t still think that.

My impression now is that he’s a patriot. And like all of us who can remember the 1950s and ‘60s he remembers an America that was great.

I don’t think he has any well thought out political theory. I don’t think he is a political junkie like those of us who hang out here. But I think he sees that the country is going to hell and cannot survive another dose of Obama or his weak-kneed squat-to-pee Republican opponents. Other than Cruz I didn’t have any use for any of them. Trump is a fighter. He’s not a politician who is used to lying as easily as breathing. I think he will do exactly what he has been talking about.

Kind of what I see. A non political type that has been oriented in the business world his entire life. Which perfectly explains donations of all type. Go away and leave him alone, per se.

Now we’ve reached the last gasp point of the nation, where someone has to do SOMETHING to reverse the insanity.

I think Trump is revealing that he is a political junky, but I agree he doesn’t have a coherent and comprehensive, well thought out, political philosophy.

That’s not his style.

It may well be possible that he is a democrat.

I say this because he has sort of been all over the political board in his life.

It’s hard to say what he really is for a fact, but I can tell you what he is not.

He is not ashamed to be American. He is not ashamed to be a white male. He is not afraid to offend. He is not some little pansy ass beta male honey may I please check my white privilege tip toe softly around while the world invades my country because it never had any right to exist in the first place typical tw*twaffle republican either.

And I have to say that is rather refreshing. He is more of a 1980’s America is beautiful and great kick ass and take names walk tall carry a big stick and swing that bad boy right in your enemy’s face hard unapologetic SOB that this country used to make by the truckload but no longer does.

I think we have reached a point in this country’s history where if we want to keep what we had, then we are going to have to stand up and fight for it, hard. We are going to have to step on some toes. We are going to have to throw some bitches out. We are going to have to tell some people who have gotten away with it for a long time that you ain’t going to get away with it no more.

We are going to have to tell the world that this is our home, and our country, we make the laws here and we run this ship and if you think you are going to take it then you are in for a fight like you can’t even imagine, and don’t you dare apologize for us, because we are the Shining City on the Hill because God lives here in our hearts, and you have as much chance of running Him out as you have of running us out!

And I don’t think Jeb Bush can carry that torch. I don’t think he can even pick it up off the ground.

This is a man’s job, so let’s get to it.

Thank you kindly, Pelham. I am not sure what has gotten in to me tonight, I am not usually so animated. Every now and then I might have a moment of insight on this or that but most of the time I’m just an average Joe.

Something happened to me earlier though. I watched that video of the girl talking about procuring and selling baby parts, and I gotta tell you that hit me right in my soul.

It opened up my eyes wide, and man I cried when that girl said she passed out from pain when she picked up one of those parts. Abortion has never been one of those issues that really pushes me, I always thought of it as a genie that can’t be put back in its bottle, and my exact thoughts on the issue don’t mesh up 100% with people around here, and I have gotten myself into trouble with that.

But you know what? I didn’t know my country has gone and turned this into some soilent green for real. I cannot believe at all that America, my country, the country that I love, has gone so far as to do this hideous thing. I thought yeah we have fallen from grace, we aren’t what we used to be, people just don’t seem to have that pride they used to or whatever, but after seeing that... I feel like I’m living in Nazi Germany.

I feel like if we don’t turn this ship around right damn now, we are bound straight for Hell, and the people steering the ship right now are damned intent on taking us there as fast as they can, and I do not want to go.

I want to fight! I want to fight them, and it, and I want to stop this right now. And for that task I need other fighters, and I need a leader that’s a fighter, and I have no use at all for these weasel republicans and their useless show votes.

There is blood on my country’s soil. The blood of babies, the saddest kind of blood there can possibly be, and man, I feel like America is soaked in it at this point, and I am just sickened by it.

I can’t change what’s happened in the past. All I can do is pray to God and beg his forgiveness and hope He gives it, but what I can do is fight to change what happens here tomorrow.

This can’t be allowed to continue. I think maybe what I saw drove me a little crazy. This has to stop.

God Bless America. Lord, we really need Your Blessings.

Well keep up the good work. I had been laughing at some of your creative ranting (you have a gift) until I ran across the Planned Parenthood baby-harvesting thread.

You’re right, it’s pure evil. But I have a feeling that for the first time since Roe v Wade went down that the abortion industrial complex has just received a tremendous blow. Maybe even a fatal one. It’s going to take a bit of time to see how this plays out.

They’ve gotten away with their crimes against humanity because before this series of secret videos the public hasn’t gotten to see what they do. ‘Abortion’ has just been a word. Now the American people will get a chance to see it in its baby-body-parts-for-sale glory. Let’s see what Joe Public thinks once he gets a good look at it.

GOPe Track Record... in a nut shell...

DOLE = ELECTION LOSER

McCAIN = ELECTION LOSER

ROMNEY = ELECTION LOSER

GOPe is now pushing Jeb Bush —the NEXT ELECTION LOSER

TRUMP out of the blue has at least temporarily subdued the GOP/RNC/U.S. Chamber of Commerce in their effort to push Jeb Bush down our collective throats.

Trump has had a recent meeting with Cruz and Trump contributed to Cruz’s political campaign... What does that mean?

It means Trump is not an enemy of a very Conservative candidate.

Will Trump last? ... the first Fox Debates will be a good gauge of that.

Will a Conservative Candidate prosper with Trump stealing the limelight ... I say yes... When compared to where they would be without Trump’s ability to subdue the GOPe.

Right now — without the GOPe being focused on Trump, the RNC/GOP would be issuing attacks by the hundreds against Cruz, Walker, Paul and others...a la what they did when pushing Romney - savaging all other Republican candidates.

IMO — Trumps liberal ways would be tempered as POTUS by a Conservative Congress that was Pushed and Shoved by a Conservative electorate. Trump as POTUS facing a Conservative Congress would not likely be pushing gun control — back burner it would go, Trump would pursue a moderate stretched out immigration solution... In short IMO with a REAL Conservative Congress Trump would go for economic moves, job moves, reform moves - IRS, EPA, FEMA, Home Land Security, TSA... Trump would likely be more common sense in International affairs, Trump would appoint and delegate and expect performance... Trump Loves America ... influence of questionable Islamics in Government would be done away with — because Trump would listen to security advisors... Trump likes to run an organization - have Cabinet Secretaries do their jobs - he would have no desire to be hands on at ever policy decision — because Trump knows that he does not know it all - at a Cabinet meeting ... ‘Take Care of it’ would be most likely his most spoken words...

FR members who do not trust Trump, do not like Trump, take issue with everything he has ever done... ARE NOT Considering the Alternatives ... If Trump had not popped up — where would Conservatives be? HIND TiT AGAIN is where we would be — The GOPe does not want Conservatives involved in anything ... so Trump naysayers — how do you suppose Conservatives Fight the GOPe ? Tell me please !!!

“And I don’t think Jeb Bush can carry that torch.”

Nether his father or his brother could carry the torch. They may have been quick to deploy the U.S. Military abroad but both were weak when it came to protecting the border, economic issues, fiscal responsibility, and protecting individual liberty. Neither aggressively fought statism, the opposition party, the Wall Street banking cartel, or the leftist media propaganda.

In the six years since George W. Bush left office, the nation’s descent has accelerated, the standard of living for the average family has plummeted, individual liberties have been eroded as government has increased its intrusion into every aspect of life, and the social order has been fraying. The country is dying yet neither former president Bush will speak out. Why would Jeb be any different?
