Sorry, you’re not allowed to have a thread about that lion without massive abortion references.

Just watch.

TR hunted animals for museums. He had many many porters carrying salt for the hides. In his book he did write that he started to hate lions and killed them on sight. Tree hugger Cleveland Amory wrote about TR in the 1970s and he was not nice about it.

I personally dislike lions, so kill them all.

I’m kind of curious as to why the lion didn’t return to its territory when wounded. Everything I’ve read about lions suggests that they will return to the safety of their own territory if injured.

I wonder if the lion had been driven out of its territory by a younger stronger lion. An adult lion without a home territory is a real danger to people and faces a pretty uncertain future as it is.

Lions are not as dangerous as this monkey.

I bet Roosevelt didn’t have his hunting contractor lure a poor dumb animal past protective boundaries he could not have understood so that he could puncture his body painfully with a bad shot with arrows and leave that poor animal to suffer for 40 hours until they could finish them off with a gun. For this, I’d like to introduce micro-genital Palmer to Mr. Louisville Slugger. Palmer is a hunter like slaughterhouse workers are hunters. They both work with canned game.

The liberals love these apex predators and the snuff films of them slowly eating screaming baby animals (elephants, elk, gazelle, warthogs) alive.

Which makes me hate the predators very much and hope they are all killed.

At least one of his contractors did worse than that.
It was a media sensation when Teddy refused to shoot a bear one of them had tied to a tree for him.
Surely that contractor had done similar things, just less obviously.

And you have information that the hunter-dentist requested such behavior?

I wasn’t clear, I like leos, just not Mountain Lions, was almost attacked by a pair of them a decade or ago. As long as African lions stay in zoos, I’m safe here.

Cecil was a tourist attraction. Wearing a tracking collar.

TR killed a bunch of those? NOPE.

Rush is dead wrong on this one.
