Chances are Donald Trump has mastered the art of “under-promise, over-deliver.”
The man best known for his confidence, even arrogance, has a surprisingly humble attitude toward his own debate skills.
The pressure not to make a critical mistake was already great enough on the top candidates participating in next week’s Republican presidential debate, but it has increased exponentially with the emergence of the outspoken business magnate as the GOP front-runner.
The other candidates have their hands full developing a “Trump strategy” to counter what the leading contender may do — a task made all the more difficult when Trump himself doesn’t know.

Trump is playing chess ...
I doubt the Cruz campaign is “on edge”. Debating is his strong suit.

They flip the board over and hit their opponent over the head.
The thing I like about Trump is he flips their boards over, can take a hit and hits back.
Is it just me or does anyone else believe the debates will be Trump’s undoing...
Not because of the RINO’s, but because he lacks specifics and does nothing but talk. That ain’t going to get it done.
If you believe he lacks specifics you haven’t done much research into him, you’re just accepting the media line.
Cruz is not under pressure, he will just speak the truth, Trump will likewise not be under pressure, when asked about specific details on this, that or the other thing, he will just respond, I'm a smart guy, I make lots of money, I will fix every thing, that's what I do, everyone knows that, what other details do you need.
Jeb is a policy wonk, and knows pretty much what he is talking about. If, however he overwonks and bores hell out of all of us, he won’t do so well.
I listen to his interviews...I can even post excerpts for you.
The trouble you have is that I do listen...you refuse to accept he isn’t perfect. Not my problem.

This isn’t going to be a debate, it will be a beauty contest, filled with focus-tested gotcha’s, that will devolve into a shouting contest as the establishment “Candidates” try to defend bush.

LOL, I don’t think he’s perfect, no one is. However, instead of listening to media excerpts of his interviews, I read his positions, very clearly stated in his books.

Can you precisely relate what YOUR candidate has done, or any other candidate has done, besides talk? Talking is what candidates do. None of them can “do” anything now because they are not elected yet. What Trump HAS DONE is zoom to the top, because of all the candidates talking, people prefer the way he talks and FIGHTS. Fighting is something else he has DONE.

no teleprompter....looks like a single page note (that he put back into his inside coat pocket at the end of the speech I watched)

Actually, in reading your other posts, the word believe should be changed to “hope.” You hope it’s his undoing, but I’ll bet even you don’t “believe” it will.
