If his actual history matched that record I’d be the first to line up to vote for him; but alas, this is a fantasy vision of a non-existent candidate.

Having grown up in New York, I know the Trump brand well, he’s a cultural icon there. His name is synonymous with gambling and ostentatious displays of wealth.

Ever own a product made by a Trump company? Me neither. He didn’t make his money by producing things. Any other billionaire you can name, I can probably name a product or service I used that was made by one of their businesses. Trump made his money not by producing anything but by catering to the lowest aspects of the human psyche - ignorance, greed, and envy.

Being deeply familiar with Trump and his history, there is no way I can buy this guy being a true-blue conservative. He’s doing what he’s always done, what he’s a master at doing - telling people what they want to hear so he can make a sale.

For formatting, you put < p > at the end of the text you want to create a space. Just put them all together, like (p), but with the arrows. For italics: (i) at beginning (but with arrows) and (/i) and end. Paragraph breaks don’t need that / though. Bold is same logic.

Thanks for your rant but I just formatted the piece for The Cause.

BTW, I believe Trump is doing a real service for the country by speaking out against the RINO establishment Republicans.

This is Trump on H-1Bs. Sounds like an improvement. I didn’t know 80% of them went to the two lowest allowable wage levels. Although simply increasing the lowest allowable wage does mean that with inflation, the program will be causing the same problems again down the road...

*********************************************************

Increase prevailing wage for H-1Bs. We graduate two times more Americans with STEM degrees each year than find STEM jobs, yet as much as two-thirds of entry-level hiring for IT jobs is accomplished through the H-1B program. More than half of H-1B visas are issued for the program’s lowest allowable wage level, and more than eighty percent for its bottom two. Raising the prevailing wage paid to H-1Bs will force companies to give these coveted entry-level jobs to the existing domestic pool of unemployed native and immigrant workers in the U.S., instead of flying in cheaper workers from overseas. This will improve the number of black, Hispanic and female workers in Silicon Valley who have been passed over in favor of the H-1B program. Mark Zuckerberg’s personal Senator, Marco Rubio, has a bill to triple H-1Bs that would decimate women and minorities.

Requirement to hire American workers first. Too many visas, like the H-1B, have no such requirement. In the year 2015, with 92 million Americans outside the workforce and incomes collapsing, we need to companies to hire from the domestic pool of unemployed. Petitions for workers should be mailed to the unemployment office, not USCIS.

There were no former or long term Ross Perot employees who had anything bad to say about him either. So that won’t get you far.

Personally, I’ll all for Trump.

I think he’s doing a real service too by exposing the popular fed-upness with the outrageous immigration situation. But alas there’s a big gap between appreciating that and thinking he’d make a good President.

I posted a bunch of Confederate flag stuff last week and they yanked my account and made me “prove who I am” to get it back.

Luckily, I get snail mail addressed to that user name, which is not my real name, which I will NEVER use on FB.

Where did you read that?

I’ve been watching The Apprentice episodes on youtube.com and one of the wannabe apprentices asked Trump if the story was true? Trump seemed embarrassed but assented, yes.

It occurred in episode 2.

IIRC, I read it on a political discussion site during a previous election cycle. I can only find two references to it now, one of which is Snopes, and I know some don’t trust them. They do have an interesting history of the urban legend though and such generosity has been attributed to other famous people gong back to Henry Ford.

“Trump made his money not by producing anything but by catering to the lowest aspects of the human psyche - ignorance, greed, and envy.”

Can’t say that. Just because you or I can’t afford to live in one of his properties, ,or stay in one of his hotels, or rent one of his offices, doesn’t mean he didn’t produce anything. There are plenty of millionaires, and billionaires that got wealthy in real estate, and in a lot shadier ways than Trump.

Saying he never produced anything is disingenuous at best.
I’m a Cruz guy, but Trump is making some good moves right now.
It doesn’t benefit any candidate to come here and plaster disinformation about them.
