GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump will deliver an address on national security and veterans' issues from the USS Iowa, a retired battleship, on Sept. 15.

"Donald Trump is a long-standing supporter of veterans and the military and we are honored that he has chosen our organization and event for his major national security address,” said Joel Arends, chairman of the Veterans for a Strong America (VSA), in a statement on Thursday announcing the event.

Trump may be allowed to speak on the deck of a battleship, but is he allowed to say anything about the military?

“Trump may be allowed to speak on the deck of a battleship, but is he allowed to say anything about the military?”

Your question makes no sense.

I used to listen to Medved but quite a few years ago I quit - couldn’t take it anymore. He’s just way to squishy for me.

Levin is my favorite.

Renting a museum is no different from renting a civic center.

The magnificent scoundrel, known as Trump, a notorious quick study, will rub it in by briefly touching on the issues that Hewitt was trying to get him on. The next day at the debate, Hewitt will be pretzeling himself trying to nail Trump on something to no avail, and will get slapped down.

Why would he not be allowed to say anything about the military ...

A clarification would be greatly appreciated.

It’s a reference to Libs/pols/media who presume that unless you have served, you are not allowed to speak about the military...

I’m taking it to the next step (before the non serving media gets the chance to do so about Trump speaking from a battleship)

reply?

Good. It will be nice to get off the gay marriage topic. Democrats want this election to be about a right to same sex marriage. Time to get back to immigration, the economy, jobs, the military and repealing obamacare.

Good thing he didn't pick the Missouri; he might have had to share the stage with Cher...

The Truump factor is revealing both obvious and disturbing allegences.

There is paranoia within the elite ranks.

George Will is a shining example of being forced with a gun to his head to write Trump negatives(in this case his wife is holding the gun). ...and others are outing their lack of character and integrity for allegiance to “the group” rather than to America.

Fun cocktail parties are turning into soviet style loyalty checks.
