This was reported earlier here at FR that Governor Huckabee couldn't find a law the Supreme Court permitted gay marriage There is no law.

The Supreme Court has no authority to create (”legalize” in the article) the “law of the land.” If they are going to do that, we need to send Congress home and stop wasting all of the taxpayers’ money being used to subsidize politicians. JMO in the warm and fuzziest words I can come up with.

You are correct.
Separation of powers and all that, the legislative powers belong to Congress and the various state legislatures.
The proper way to handle this would have been for the SC to order either Congress or the state legislature to do something, WHICH THE LEGISLATURES COULD IGNORE!

Scalia and Kennedy will both turn 80 next year. Thomas will be in his 70s during the next President’s term. If Hillary gets to replace any one of them, then a far left wing oligarchy will be dictating from the bench for the next 30 years.
