Donald Trump is well ahead of the pack heading into Wednesday night’s third GOP presidential debate, according to a new poll.
Trump has a 14-point lead over his competition before the contest in Boulder, Colo., according to the One America News Network (OAN) survey.
Pollsters found support for Trump at 35.6 percent versus 21.7 percent for retired pediatric neurosurgeon Ben Carson, his closest competition.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) trails the pair with 10.7 percent, OAN said.
“It’s all Trump going into the third debate,” OAN CEO Robert Herring, Sr. said in a statement Tuesday morning.
“Mr. Trump’s continued top national ranking will also make him the candidate to target Wednesday night,” he added.
Former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-Fla.) ranks fourth in the new poll with 7.6 percent.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina follow, with 5.9 percent to her 5.7 percent, respectively.
OAN questioned 906 registered Republicans. The sampling has a 3-percent margin of error.

Something doesn’t seem to square here, Rubio and Cruz. Judging by various articles and comments Cruz is leading Rubio......am I wrong?

OK, the numbers are slightly different, I can believe this is the real thing, instead of that recycled Gravis/OAN poll from Oct. 7.
CBS manufactured a poll that says Carson is leading! And that will be the meme for the debate!

Sadly, Rubio is leading Cruz in this poll.
I think we focus too much on the Trump/Carson horse race and forget the bigger picture, which is that a non politician - someone who never before held political office - could well be nominated for president come the GOP convention.
This is both unprecedented and historic.
I hate to say it, but I think you’re right. I visibly cringed when I heard about his comments about the 9-11 conspiracy theorising. Purt near went off the road.
It seems quite clear voters DO NOT want another politician, no matter what he says or where he stands.
And we know the New York Times is only bested by CBS in terms of objective truth.

So tell me, how do you differentiate between registered and “lilkely” GOP voters?
Registration is a fact borne out by documentation, but “likelihood” is not a verifiable condition. It’s just taking someone’s “word” at a point in time.

Also, look at a comment that is pretty interesting...
“Statistics happens to be my expertise. The only polls Carson has significant gains in are small sample size polls.”
But you know what? The Club For Growth people aren't stupid like the pols they control are. Trump has stayed for a long time on how well he's polling. It leaves him vulnerable to the effects of rigged pols.
Pure conspiracy theory hypothesis on my part.
What Trump should do is make a list of what he can accomplish in DC that nobody else can. I'm putting that suggestion in an email to the campaign. Perhaps you know a better way to reach them with suggestions.

Trump is right, but Fox and the other channels, but mainly Fox, is already saying Carson is the NEW NATIONAL LEADER. One moron even said he should treated like the leader in the debate and he and Trump switch places.
