Hillary tells Colbert: 'Yes yes yes' I would let big banks fail
The Hill ^ | 10/27/15 | Elliot Smilowitz

Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton on Tuesday said she would be willing to let big banks fail — a break from what President Obama did in 2009, according to CNN.

Appearing on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” Clinton was asked by Colbert, “If you're president and the banks are failing, do we let them fail?”

Her response was clear: “Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.”

“First of all, under Dodd-Frank, that is what will happen because we now have stress tests and I'm going to impose a risk fee on the big bank if they engage in risky behavior but they have to know, their shareholders have to know that yes, they will fail and if they're too big to fail,” she explained.

“Then under my plan and others that have been proposed, they may have to be broken up.”

Clinton unveiled her Wall Street reform plan earlier this month, promising to tighten financial regulations.

The rest of Clinton’s interview with Colbert was not as wonky. Colbert brought up her birthday, which was Monday.

"Did you do anything special, like have a celebration for 11 hours?" the host asked, a reference to last week’s marathon hearing by the House Select Committee on Benghazi.

The candidate also discussed her favorite TV shows, including “House of Cards,” “The Good Wife” and “Madam Secretary.”

Clinton appeared last month on “The Tonight Show” and earlier this month on “Saturday Night Live.”

She is scheduled to appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in November.

Of course, that wouldn’t include the bank(s) where Hillary and Bill keep their CFF Trillion.

That’s the weird about her....everything is related to some bribe to the foundation. If she’s for something....it’ll last until someone bribes to go the other way. If she is against something...it’ll last until someone bribes to go the other way. I can’t imagine how any Presidency under the Clinton Foundation would ever survive four years.

Benghazigate was about a crony lobbyist persuading Hillary to bring about violent regime change in Libya (the murder of a POW named Gaddafi was a war crime for which Hillary boasted WE came WE saw HE DIED!!!).

And so Colbert asks her about birthdays and banks.

That culture of corruption that voters were supposedly upset about in 2006? Yeah, they don’t give a damn these days.

Liberal Democrat corruption is not NEARLY as corrosive as “moderate” Republican corruption. < /sarcasm >

That was a fine job of disinformation and misdirection in 2006, and now, by acceptance, it is presumed that ONLY Republicans practice crony deals that are “bad” for that territory once known as “the United States of America”, while Democrats confine their cronyism only to deals that are “good” for the designated territory (or the Power Couples far up in the hierarchy).

The Donald has been in the process of demolishing that concept. And for his performance so far, he has been widely applauded by not only perceptive folks of conservative persuasion, but by a lot of people who have been only spectators and non-participants in the political process for years.

Hitlery guests on Colbert---all she gets are questions that advance her
candidacy-----about banks failing---and the odd aside WRT her birthday. .

It was all staged--her terms for making an appearance were hammered out beforehand---that she NOT be asked questions about the really bad stuff like her Benghazi incompetence and the Clinton Foundation fraud.

Hillary would save every bank in stress, given that they each slipped a few cool million dollars to the Clinton Foundation.

Hilolita was for sale in Bengazi and she is for sale now.

However, those banks that pay “jizya” in the form of donations to the Clinton Crime Family Foundation (C2F2) need not worry.. she’ll have their back... for a while, anyway.

"The Whitewater controversy (also known as the Whitewater scandal, or simply Whitewater) began with investigations into the real estate investments of Bill and Hillary Clinton and their associates, Jim and Susan McDougal, in the Whitewater Development Corporation, a failed business venture in the 1970s and 1980s."

Whitewater Convictions

Jim Guy Tucker: Governor of Arkansas at the time, removed from office (fraud, 3 counts)

John Haley: attorney for Jim Guy Tucker (tax evasion)

William J. Marks, Sr.: Jim Guy Tucker’s business partner (conspiracy)

Stephen Smith: former Governor Clinton aide (conspiracy to misapply funds). Bill Clinton pardoned.

Webster Hubbell: Clinton political supporter; Rose Law Firm partner (embezzlement, fraud)

Jim McDougal: banker, Clinton political supporter: (18 felonies, varied)

Susan McDougal: Clinton political supporter (multiple fraud). Bill Clinton pardoned.

David Hale: banker, self-proclaimed Clinton political supporter: (conspiracy, fraud)

Neal Ainley: Perry County Bank president (embezzled bank funds for Clinton campaign)

Chris Wade: Whitewater real estate broker (multiple loan fraud). Bill Clinton pardoned.

Larry Kuca: Madison real estate agent (multiple loan fraud)

Robert W. Palmer: Madison appraiser (conspiracy). Bill Clinton pardoned.

John Latham: Madison Bank CEO (bank fraud)

Eugene Fitzhugh: Whitewater defendant (multiple bribery)

Charles Matthews: Whitewater defendant (bribery)

Ultimately the Clintons were never charged, but 15 other persons were convicted of more than 40 crimes, including Bill Clinton’s successor as Governor, who was removed from office.[40]
