Hell, they’ve had the damn thing FOREVER tied w/ a little bow:

“The Left is always against corporate welfare. Today we begin the cutting with PP & XYZ”

Sit back and watch their heads explode. Then you pass another pair, then another, and ...

Make ‘em choose. Then, come election time you have a lovely soundbite, or 30: “We were willing to work with the Dems to reduce corporate welfare, but they just WOULDN’T vote for it...”

What the hell did they think he was going to be like after the demand for a question free coronation?

How did people stupid enough to get sucked in this easily ever get elected?

I think so. That was my question. Does $500 million just automatically go to PP every year? I assume it’s in HHS budget.

Thank the Freedom Caucus for Speaker Ryan.

*************
The entire GOP is the problem. The party is nothing but corruption and cronyism. The only reason to vote GOP is if you like being repeatedly stabbed in the back.

We have NO friends in Washington. Our friends who are not in Washington lose that status upon being installed in Washington.

When I see this type of "abject moral cowardice" on the part of Paul Ryan (et al) ...

about not getting involved in "battles we might not win"

I ask myself this question:

If Congressman Paul Ryan's wife and children were threatened with "terrible violence" by two (2) bad-ass guys bigger and meaner than him ...

would he (1) fight like Maximus the Gladiator to SAVE HIS WIFE and CHILDREN ... and DEFEAT the ENEMY ...

or else just "surrender in advance" and watch the "unspeakable" ?

Paul Ryan ... "Go To Hell" ... you'd sell your own Dear Mother to the Freakin' Nazi Party if it would further your corrupt political career ...

WE CAN ‘DAVE BRAT’ HIM if we Need.

Remember it’s still “The People’s House”!

Boehner, Jr.

http://www.newsmax.com/Politics/john-boehner-smaller-government-washington/2015/10/30/id/699816/#ixzz3q9K7GWVp

Now-former House Speaker John Boehner says that he came to Washington to fight for a smaller, less costly and more accountable government, and now that he's leaving the House, that still hasn't happened.

“I began to realize over the years there is no winning this fight,” Boehner said in an interview with Fox News’ Bill Hemmer on Thursday, just after his replacement, Paul Ryan, took the gavel.

The fight has been going on for over 200 years in Washington, he told Hemmer in the interview, which aired on Friday on the network's “America's Newsroom” program, and “it will be a constant struggle over how big should Washington be, how much should it take?”

I seem to recall hearing that one thing Ryan insisted on was changing the rule on voting out the speaker, but don’t know it if happened or not.

http://www.ijreview.com/2015/10/451803-paul-ryan-wants-to-overturn-house-rule-put-in-place-by-thomas-jefferson/

“The Wisconsin Republican wants to get rid of a procedural rule that allows Speakers to be removed with a simple majority vote at any time. As CQ/Roll Call’s Matt Fuller pointed out, the existence of that rule was why Boehner was so willing to resign early.

“There is actually no House Rule that would help remove a Speaker from his seat, according to the Brookings Foundation, but Jefferson’s Manual, America’s first book on procedure, allows for the move. The manual, written by former President Thomas Jefferson, is the go-to rulebook when there isn’t a House Rule on the issue.”

If so, anyone know what it takes now to get rid of the speaker? A 3/4 vote? 2/3? This isn’t surprising since the excuse they use now for doing absolutely nothing to oppose Obama or for that matter, to do anything constructive is they lack the votes, so naturally they make it almost impossible for us to toss them out.

IN other words, Pelosi could take back the chair and it might be impossible to remove her, even if a lot of the Democrats thought she needed to go.
IOW, they have labeled Jefferson’s procedural rule as a “nuclear option” (the Democrats’ term) and in the future Democrats will be able to say, “Hey, you made the rule ...”.
Frustrated by being unable to legislate by simple majority, the RINOs change a rule that has been in effect for the life of the country to establish as a rule a super majority vote requirement ... `to protect the institution’ (as Boehner put it)?

I don’t understand the difficulty.

Some of their actions are understandable. They're beholden to the Chamber of Commerce, for example.

But this one is hard to understand. I guess they're afraid to alienate "the women's vote," even if that means funding infanticide.

They are self-serving, abject cowards.
