The Story Behind Why CNBC Was Scolded at the First Question in Third Debate
Zionists4Trump.com ^ | 11/2/2015 | Zionists 4 Trump

In an earlier article this week, Mortal Allies Make Strange Bedfellows, we saw why the Republican candidates planned to wrest control of future debates from the Republican National Committee (RNC) and mainstream media. This post will examine what happened in just the first question of the third Republican Presidential candidates' debate hosted by CNBC.

Donald Trump and Ben Carson had negotiated an agreement with CNBC for the third debate to last only two hours, including commercials rather than exclusive of them. CNBC also had agreed to allow opening and closing statements from each candidate.

Trump suspected that CNBC would not honor their commitments. On the morning of the debate, he tweeted, “I am now in Colorado looking forward to what I am sure will be a very unfair debate!”

While the candidates were given the opportunity to make closing statements, they were deprived of the chance to make opening statements as promised. Instead, the candidates were greeted with the ultimate “gotcha” question as an initial query: “In thirty seconds,…what is your biggest weakness, and what are you doing to address it?”

Donald Trump was the first candidate to call “foul” on CNBC for having lied to the candidates. Trump addressed this betrayal by CNBC directly, but not many recognized it at that time or since. I believe Trump was speaking directly to CNBC when he answered,

“I think maybe my greatest weakness is that I trust people too much. I'm too trusting. And when they let me down, if they let me down, I never forgive. I find it very, very hard to forgive people that deceived me.”

Yes, CNBC, that means you.

CNBC clearly deceived all the candidates and acted in bad faith by replacing the expected opening statement with such a foolish question. …

Harwood lied through his teeth, and not very convincingly, when he said that there had never been plans for a three hour debate.

The best part of the whole thing is that the candidates have fought back against the enemy within - The RNC, and hopefully there will be no Candy Crowleys in the future!

yes, very good call.

This could be a reason why Trump seemed a bit more laid back during this debate. He knew going in it would be unfair, that the moderators would be baiting everyone, etc.

I was very surprised that he did not “counterpunch” the moderator for this question.

- “Is this a comic book version of a presidential campaign?”
- “...as you would of flying away from that podium by flapping your arms.”

Maybe he had decided after the first question, as pointed out above, that he had enough from this group of lying idiots.

And as was asked at a job interview: What is your greatest weakness and the answer was ‘honesty’ - and I don’t give a blip what your think.

CNBC is supposed to be a “business channel” yet Harwood is so ignorant, he has obviously never even heard of the Laffer curve. The guy must have slept through Econ 101, or maybe he went to a Marxist school. He’s stone cold ignorant. It would be one thing to argue that the point of maximal return for revenue is here rather than there on the curve, but he obviously, never even heard of the curve before-—which is astounding.

“He’s stone cold ignorant”

Nothing could be further from the truth.
These people knew EXACTLY what they were doing.

Every question they asked could have been written by DailyKos/Comedy Central to feed a Liberal attack line against Republican imagery, and given NBC, probably was.

Take the “Fantasy Football betting” question, for instance.

The ONLY reason to ask that question, in an economics debate, was to get the low-info Bubbas around the water-cooler to say, “Did you hear REPUBLICANS want to ban Fantasy Football??!!!”

You could actually watch the pre-written memes about this popping up on Twitter, in REAL-TIME, starting almost the moment the question was asked.

Luckily, Cruz saw it for exactly what it was, and cut it off before Bush could really put his foot in his mouth.

A bunch of people at MediaMatters.Soros are probably STILL crying over that one.

Yes.

Well, that debate sure told the people in the US that the media are lying scumbags. Almost all the candidates that night really slammed the moderators and CNBC.

I loved the last lines by Trump telling Harwood that he was liar, and Harwood tried to comeback and Trump just reiterated it stronger and harder.

From the previous debate, which was supposed to be on the economy.

So here are some of the actual questions:

- “What’s your biggest weakness?”
- “You want to bring 70,000 pages to three.. is that using really small type?”
- “Why not slow down, get a few more things done first or least finish what you start?”
- “Does your opposition to it show that you’re not the kind of problem-solver American voters want?”
- “Is this a comic book version of a presidential campaign?”
- “When you look at him [another candidate], do you see someone with the moral authority to unite the country?”
- “I just wondered why you think we should hire you now?”
- “Why should the voters believe the promises that you’re telling them right now?”
- “..it raises the question whether you have the maturity and wisdom to lead this $17 trillion economy. What do you say?”

Here are some of the statements made to preface some of the questions:
- “You’ve been a young man in a hurry”
- “as you would of flying away from that podium by flapping your arms.”
- “the fact that you’re at the fifth lectern tonight shows how far your stock has fallen in this race”

And many other statements and questions were presented to get one candidate to specifically call out and demean another Republican candidate or other Republicans.

Lets rephrase some of these to be asked to the democrats at their next debate (make up your own):

- “Hillary, given the fact that you lied {quote her emails to her daughter and Egypt prime minister} at the Benghazi hearings, do you have the moral authority to lead anybody?”
- “Hillary, given the fact that you sold out state department classified and top secret information for monetary gain, at what point in time will you be in jail for treason, before, during, or after, the election?”
- “Hillary, given the fact that you set up your own email server which is a violation of federal law, should’t you be in jail right now?”
- “Hillary, given the fact that you have violated 15 federal laws on the email server and Benghazi situation, shouldn’t you be sitting in jail right now?”
- “Bernie, you, an avowed socialist, and given the fact in the 20th century, close to 170 million people have been murdered by their own socialist governments, as president of the United States would you be murdering 30 million Americans or 50 million”?

Harwood lied through his teeth, and not very convincingly, when he said that there had never been plans for a three hour debate.

Yes, we all know liberal journalists are liars... but in this case I think Harwood was stupid. If you were to ask him about the best place to get a haircut, he would know... or the best place for men to get a manicure. But what's going on? Not a chance...I'll bet his questions were written for him and all he had to add was 'snark'.

These guy's aren't intellectuals, they're 'pretty boys'..

“what is your biggest weakness, and what are you doing to address it?”

Too damned intelligent to be in politics.

Watching CNBC 15 minutes a day - I’m not sure that will be enough, but it’s at the upper limit of what I can endure.

- “Hillary, your progressive agenda matches Bernie’s socialist agenda point by point. Doesn’t that also make you a Socialist and do you agree with the 30-50 million deaths or do you foresee more? “

I was wondering who that ‘won’t forgive’ comment was aimed at.

And now the February debate on NBC has been cancelled.

Point proved!

Ask anyone this if they complain about the tone of the questions,

“Whats the matter, can’t the democrats handle some tough questions?”
