Rubio says he'll release charge card records in coming weeks (Mysterious 2005-2006 "expenses")

GOP presidential candidate Marco Rubio said Wednesday he'll release in the next few weeks all of the statements detailing his use of an American Express card he shared with the Republican Party of Florida.

Rubio, a former speaker of the Florida House, had the party-issued card from February 2005 to November 2008. During his successful 2010 bid for U.S. Senate, news broke that Rubio had charged items such as grocery bills, plane tickets for his wife and repairs to the family minivan to the card. His spokesman, Alex Conant, said Wednesday that those expenses were for party business, and that the state GOP paid them.

Rubio says he paid for any personal expenses.

The statements from late 2006 to late 2008 are now public, but those from 2005 and most of 2006 are not.

Marco preparing to pay back taxes for 2005 and 2006 on those mysterious Amex "expenses" that were "reimbursed" by the Florida GOP?

If he’s done nothing wrong why bother groveling? It’s not like its going to help him. Just makes him look weaker than already is.

If he can’t run finances, he can’t run America’s finances;

If he can’t represent Fla in the Senate to show up to vote, he can’t be trusted to lead America in good times or bad...

Rubio is not the person for the Oval Office....

Having married a cuban woman, I can say this:

Rubio is a typical cuban male. Too much time in front of the mirror, loose on the bribes ooops I mean bucks, prolly a mistress in their somewhere. Mark my words.

“The ban prevents lawmakers from taking gifts from lobbyists, but the state party doesn’t face the same restrictions. “

So the AMEX card purchases were to be a gift until it was scrutinized????

I don’t understand this set up.

That is rope a dope talk trying to get out of the mess he put himself into...he's guilty as sin, just thinks he can do what the rest of them do, lie and it will go away...

This isn't going to go away and neither is a lot of other things about him going away...

It would appear that the state party apparatus gave him a card and fairly significant amount of cash on that card to cover ‘expenses’. It’s not money that he has to report, and it’s likely coming from foundations or lobbyists to the Florida Republican Party. Nothing illegal about this but it would say a lot about how he spent the money and his ethical behavior.

Note, none of us would have some credit card paperwork left over from 2005 time period. I trash all my stuff after three to four years. So, it’s a shocker if he or the Party still has this stuff still laying around.

Rubio says he paid for any personal expenses.

Something relevant is missing in this sentence-- many? not any? --It leaves out a crucial point one way or another.

Yeah, yeah... Like nobody else ever had a problem with the drones assigned to “bookkeep” his “corporate” credit card.

But, since we’re reviewing “old news” here, I’m still curious about Trump’s bankruptcies. How much money did his bankers lose? And how did he weasel out of his “personal guarantees”?

If you don’t know those answers, why don’t you ask Hillary? I’m sure SHE knows...

This stuff all came out during Rubio’s run for his senate seat. I can’t imagine he thought it would not come out now. Trump is already making hay with it.

I like Trump, especially thanks to his bringing America’s immigration danger to everyone’s attention — but I’d like to know how he would answer Hillary when she asks him:

“When you borrowed money to stave off the bankruptcies of those “Trump” casinos, did you KNOW that their numbers showed bankruptcy was certain?”

“OK, so you say now you didn’t know. WHY didn’t you know? Is mathematics difficult for you?”

Alinsky says “Attack your opponent’s “strength”. Break that and you break them...”

IMHO, Hillary will try to prove Trump is NOT very business-like. IMHO, a flip answer won’t work...

First things first: Donald Trump has filed for corporate bankruptcy four times, in 1991, 1992, 2004 and 2009. All of these bankruptcies were connected to over-leveraged casino and hotel properties in Atlantic City, all of which are now operated under the banner of Trump Entertainment Resorts.

He has never filed for personal bankruptcy — an important distinction when considering his ability to emerge relatively unscathed, at least financially.

“Corporations, limited partnerships, and LLCs in which he had an ownership interest or companies that had his name attached have filed for bankruptcy,” said Michael Viscount of Atlantic City law firm Fox Rothschild LLP, who represented unsecured creditors when Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts, as it was then called, filed for Chapter 11 protection in 2004. “Therein lies the big distinction.”

And don't you think he knows this ‘hit them in their weakest spot’ more than Hillary?

Why does he have a multi-billion dollar Empire, built himself, and has groomed his children to take it over and Hillary is getting paid to do speeches? Plus, if she doesn't deliver on her promises to get her ‘Clinton Crime Family Donations’ what do you think these people are going to do to her?

Trump doesn't answer to anyone right now except his 7-8 million people base...and he doesn't have to worry about giving speeches for money, he has all the press he needs and then some, not so with her...

Trump doesn't have an investigation going on that might put him in prison, she does...whether she gets there or not, she has that huge stain on her, plus there's her husband, and then there is Huma, and then there is Arkansas...and just what big thing did she do in New York as Senator? Oh yeah, I forgot, she got masks for the fire and police that cleaned up the twin towers...big of her....

This is how the game of politics really works, Rubio. Can you hang with the big boys? No, you cannot! Trump is gonna take you out swift and hard!

You know I do not dislike Trump.
I am glad he is bringing issues like illegal immigration, our trade agreements, and our terrible economic situation to the forefront.
But what I don’t think is fair for him or his supporters to hold a double standard.
If Rubio, who I do not want to win the nomination, paid back ALL the money he intentionally or not intentionally used from the state party, then from my standpoint he has paid his debt....Unless he broke laws, then that’s a different story.

I may have a different view than some people...but I understand that Trump did not break any laws when he declared bankruptcy. He used the bankruptcy laws, as I think he said, “to his advantage”.
And I’m ok with that if he could not pay back the money at the time.
But he has 10 billion dollars now. Has he offered to pay back any of the money his companies owed when he filed bankruptcy? He may have, I don’t know. Which lawfully he does not have to. But morally should he?

If you think he should never pay back any of the money he saved in the bankruptcies, then maybe he and his supporters should not be so hard on Rubio if he did not break any laws.
if Rubio broke laws then Trump has every right to criticize him.
But don’t hold a double standard.

I don’t know...you’ll have to ask him that question...

As far as a double standard, Trump speaks the truth, and the truth is something that hasn’t been spoken in years concerning politics, nor with any of the House and Senate but a handful...

Truth is hard to take after Daddy Bush, Clinton, Baby Bush and now obuma...quite frankly, I can’t wait to get Trump into office, if I had a magic wand, he would be there right now....
