Sen. Marco Rubio on Thursday pitched a vast expansion and update of the U.S. military at all levels and railed against the "outdated" leaders unprepared for the national security challenges of the 21st century.

"Our many advantages are being compromised today by a major weakness. And that is, unfortunately, an outdated political establishment in Washington, D.C.," he said.

Rubio, a first-term senator elected in 2010 who has never served in the military, asserted that he has "the record of judgment, the breadth of experience and the quality of leadership necessary to restore our strength and our security."

This confirms that Marco has replaced Jeb as the choice of the billionaire warmongering oligarchs Eisenhower warned us against. The same traitors who spend millions to increase the illegal invasion Ike worked so hard to reverse.

It was El Rusbo who said that the Iran nuclear deal was enabled by Senator Bob Corker-Republican with his Corker Bill so sanctions could be lifted for companies like Boeing from the ‘military industrial complex’ to do business with the Iranians.

Rubio is becoming a pitchman for people who don’t give a rip about our national defense, since they are enabling Iran to develop nukes so they can make bucks with Iran, not to mention the missile defense systems they will have to develop for the Gulf Arabs, Saudis and Israel to defend themselves from the emerging Iranian nuclear capability.

The recent behavior of Russia and China is worrysome and requires a different form of readiness than the Islamic terror dangers. I think that the military was thinking they could focus more on small ground and air engagements, not all out world type war. Then of course the sequester didn’t help planning either.

I want a moderate cut in military spending. Let’s get rid of the weapons systems that are only funded because they come from the right congressional districts.

I also want a huge cut in non-military spending. Let’s go back to Bill Clinton’s last budget, increase each line item to adjust for inflation and where applicable for the increase in the number of US citizens, and budget from those numbers as a baseline. Rubio is as wrong on military spending as he is on everything else.

Our military has been destroyed by obama and the RATS. Rubio is correct.

We have bases in Germany for umteen years, like Trump says they don’t even pay us to defend them, we get nothing.
Meanwhile Germany is an economic powerhouse and can afford to defend themselves, same with Japan, Korea.

Rubio doesn’t believe in a word that he said! He’s now trying to pander to people who believe in a strong military. Some advisor wrote this for him to try to move him from his left of center position as a liberal moderate.

I seem to recall that the sequester only cut some funding. It was Obama and his handlers that made the decisions on WHERE they would apply the cuts. Suited Obama fine to choose to cut defense spending and blame Republicans.

1) These Chinese and Russian moves were thousands of miles away from the US homeland.

2) Do you trust that someone like 0bama or Clinton will use this increased military might for American best interests?

3) (here’s the only argument needed) We cannot afford it, we are broke.

What id the point of spending vast sums on defense when Rubio intends to abandon the rule of law and surrender the country to illegal aliens and their employers?

Another “I want to be President so I can “Emperor of Earth”.

No thanks Marco Bush. The next President has to an “American 1ster”. All he military weapons in the world are useless if you don't have the economic power to back it up.

What good would be a “vast expansion” of the military if your are destroying the society and culture with mass immigration at the same time? This is a recipe for Empire, real and repressive Empire.
