Hopefully the first of many to ban the cult of death.
The purpose of islam is to subjugate all people under sharia.
The Koran states it very clearly...There are two spheres: The Dar al-Harb, which is the realm of war and the Dar al-Islam, which is the realm of submission. There is no middle ground. You’re either at war or you’re under submission.
Are these the defining goals of a religion?
Also, would you please list the laudable elements of islam?
Finally someone has the stones to do this.
Reading Zhang Fei's Post 33 - I take this as an 'unofficial shutdown' of mosques.
I.e., no one will admit it - but they are either tearing down mosques under various pretenses, and/or refusing to allow new ones to be built.
I already mentioned fasting and almsgiving.
Islam is also opposed to most (not all) of the sexual revolution in the West (abortion, same-sex “marriage”, filth from Hollywood, etc.).
I think religion needs a moral code (obviously no two religions will agree 100%), a God (or gods), and maybe an afterlife. Islam has all of these.
Nota Bene: Please do not mistake my argument for one of Islam is mostly good. I am not saying that. I guess I am sort of playing Devil’s Advocate to almost everyone else on FreeRepublic.

The Muslim community claimed they could not practice Islam freely because the government does not recognize Islam and selectively intervenes to close mosques, schools, or community centers.
On November 16 local authorities in Cacuaco, Luanda Province, arrived unannounced with heavily armed guards and forcibly tore down a large tent being used as a mosque. The authorities allegedly used excessive force and intimidation, gave no written order of a violation, and offered no compensation for the destroyed structure.
In December, a Muslim group in Malange Province applied for permission to build a large, permanent mosque on land they had purchased near their small, temporary mosque. After several months of waiting without receiving a reply, and despite repeatedly asking local authorities to grant or deny their application to build, the Muslim group began construction. Shortly after construction began, local authorities arrived and destroyed the foundation. The authorities did not provide either a denial of the building application or a citation for an offense.

Islam is directly from Satan. Muhammad admitted that 'Satan had deceived' him (the so-called satanic verses). The Koran is a manual of inflicting misery on mankind (remember that Satan hates man. We got the favored position from God, and Satan cannot stand that).
Our battle is not with those misled, or trapped, in the cult of Islam. They are fellow men, and need saving and rescue. You don't do that by ignoring the truth and historical facts. Islam destroys and increases human misery.

Have not heard of it until now when I searched for it. Disgusting. Although even the Taliban thought it was horrible, as they gave it the death penalty (reading from Wikipedia).
I think that Islam is violent. It spread by the sword, unlike Christianity.
All that I am arguing is that there are good things in Islam. Not saying that they outweigh the bad. I have not named all my sons Muhammad (or not yet).
You know very well that when I said almsgiving was laudable, I was not speaking of giving money to ISIS or Al-Qaeda, or any other terrorism group.
