Trump, Cruz Hit Rubio on Amnesty
Legal Insurrection ^ | November 15, 2015 | Fuzzy Slippers

Posted on 11/15/2015 3:02:01 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

As the Republican presidential primary heats up, illegal immigration is again taking center stage. While this is nothing new (as we know President Reagan attempted to address it in the ’80s, John McCain made it a priority in ’08, and on), the discussion has taken an interesting turn this election cycle.

At issue, of course, are Obama’s executive amnesty, the recent influx of illegal immigrants (including huge numbers of children), the vast number of illegals currently living and working in the U.S., border security (such as it is), and a host of related issues including the burden of illegal immigration on tax payers in terms of jobs, health care, schooling, police and judicial involvement, and various entitlement costs.

Marco Rubio’s involvement with the Gang of Eight, particularly his decision to work closely with Chuck Schumer, has not gone unnoticed by either the conservative base nor by the other presidential hopefuls.

Donald Trump states that Rubio’s support for amnesty is “because he’s Hispanic.”

Watch:

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

This seems to be an off-the-cuff remark and not his campaign’s message; he also does not reject the idea of Rubio as his VP running mate should he win the GOP nomination....[continued]

Trump & Cruz hit Rubio....the old ONE-TWO PUNCH. Nobody deserves it more than the duplicitous, lying, despicable Marco Rubio.

Cruz might as well. He has nothing to lose. It is the only way he will get the attention needed if he wants the nomination.

Trump and Cruz are armed.

Rubio’s robot delivery and repulsive record on immigration renders him a waste of everyones time.

Every time he speaks, I expect him to go all Max He He Headroom.

I had high hopes for Rubio when he first came on the scene. He has turned out to be just another amnesty pimp.

from article:

“John McCain made it [illegal immigration] a priority in ’08...”

McCain did not ever mention it. It would have been a winning issue if he had.

Cruz will stay steady and on track. When the real voting starts he is in position to take over.

I still don’t see how it can happen. It has nothing to do with him but the way the primaries are set up. The Conservative states are portional which means you don’t get full points. They are shared among the candidates. The Blue states are all “Winner takes all”. Well that is why we end up with RNCe types. We will again. Not our fault but the system.

I disagree. Now is the time to brush him off. He is on the rise and needs to be kneecapped. This ain't been bag, this is real life. We allow the 12, 15, 20, 30 million that are here now to stay as well as half heartedly closing the border we will cease to be a country with a real middle class. We will be Mexico, Guatemala, or Brazil. The wealthy and politically connected will be in great shape where the vast majority of us will live a life of desperate poverty in Favalas.

Sadly, we will likely have terrorists attacks between now and the election. Whoever can gain the confidence of the American people to keep them safe will win. That guy is Cruz.

McLame was a frequent critic of HR4437 and Tancredo. But he had far bigger problems than immigration.
