If it was Delaware, just the mere fact he/she had a gun probably made him/her a felon.

From my experiences, most cop-haters are people with serious prior law problems.

Many people who dislike The New Police don't like bullies - especially untouchable bullies.

Some people are perfectly law-abiding, tax-paying, friendly, and decent folks who have a chance meeting as an innocent BYSTANDER with a crazed, thuggish, steroid-using maniac police officer and THAT is what changes opinions.

Except for pitbulls, which they can shoot on sight as far as I'm concerned.

It was a good post until this display of ignorance.

Sad. a pit is a pet like any other pet and don't deserve to be shot either.

I’m sick of these Cop bashing threads. For every lemon Cop there are a hundred more good Cops. The Libertarians are at it again on this thread.

sport...I have replayed it a million times in my head.
I was in such disbelief and think back to what if I had incredulously said, "What?!?!" and took a split-second too long to step backward and into my car?

Or what if the cop had become enraged because I got back in my car TOO quickly for his so-called comfort? It was unreal. I likely came within two seconds of my life, with a drug-abusing cop, because I was being a helpful bystander at a small-town suburban intersection.

I have no idea why they wanted to seize his guns but in looking for that reason I found out that Mark Reedy used to be Staff Sargent Mark Reedy of the 166th Airlift Wing, Delaware Air National Guard.

Can’t imagine someone like that being into firearms, can you?

I’m sick of these Cop bashing threads.

So you'd feel better if no one knew about these things going on?

As for cop bashing let me state clearly as I have several times on FR that I LOVE the Park County (Wyoming) Sheriff's Department and I utterly LOATHE the Sacramento County (California) Sheriff's Department.

I don't bash the good cops. Not at all. In fact someday I hope the good cops stand up to the bad cops and arrest them and throw them all in prison. With all the attention on the bad cops maybe more good cops will find it in them to cross the Blue Line of Corruption.

“With all the attention on the bad cops maybe more good cops will find it in them to cross the Blue Line of Corruption.”

They do turn in their bad Cops, all the time. No one posts about these cases though. More fun to assume the worst about the Cops and post threads like this one, where the details of the bust are not in the public eye as to why they had the search warrant and went in. It wasn’t just for chuckles. And these Cops don’t go into a house/apt on a whim. They are given their marching orders from the top; by their Chiefs and bosses. They aren’t just storm troopers acting on their own. The orders are top down; they just have to execute the dirty work, and put their own lives in danger.

Dogs, based on much experience, can be a threat to mailmen, firemen, EMT’s, citizens and Cops. Not all dogs are good dogs, and in the heat of the moment, it is easy to err on the side of ‘dog might attack me’. Not saying this is necessarily a good thing; however, on the spur of the moment, it’s hard to take the time to ascertain whether the dog that faces them is friend or foe. They just don’t have the time to figure this out at the spur of the moment. Dogs move fast, one way or the other.

Why don’t you go join a police force and then report back as to what you have to deal with day in and day out. Might be a real eye opener. I’m sick of these negative Cop threads that pop up with too great a frequency to just be coincidence. There is an agenda by certain folks on these Cop threads, and thwy at least aren’t fooling this Freeper.

These no knock snoopy snipers are a relatively recent development. Who the hell has been training these assholes to slaughter people’s pets for no reason?

No they aren't. You are the one spouting ignorance. I am going from first hand experience, as well as countless documented attacks.

Luck was on my side that day, for sure.
After I got home, I became nauseated, which I think was from the sudden adrenaline dump into my bloodstream.

You are the one spouting ignorance.

I have a pit mix laying at my feet so to say I am ignorant is simply you being a liar and a dumbass.

Ghetto raised pits are a problem just like the ghetto dwellers who ruin perfectly good dogs.

It is a shame that you don't make an effort to become informed but people like you have no time to learn anything that contradicts your ignorance.

I'd trade ten of you for one damaged pit because the pit has the ability to learn and change unlike you willfully uninformed poodle lovers.

No they haven’t been. What’s your point? Do you know why a judge issued the warrant? I was just asking a question. Which is a separate issue from how the cops behaved in serving the warrant.

I also found it very odd that he says the cops tried to open his gun safe with a screwdriver then left it unopened. Does that make any sense? They could have called in a locksmith to drill it open if they had a warrant. What’s the point in the warrant if they don’t open the safe?

I had a friend with a pit back in the early 70s and I’ve seen them in action. That was before anyone ever heard of them He was a sweet dog too, until he wasn’t, which could happen in a microsecond. You could have a tiger for a pet too, and it might never turn on anyone, but if it does they are dead. Same with pitbulls. There are countless stories of people with “sweet family pet” pitbulls who turn in a second to attack others including children. As for your spouting insults at anyone with an opposing view, I’m not surprised you own a pit.

I was directly answering a dumb question, and asking what the point of it was. What’s your point? Should police never serve any warrants because they haven’t searched John Corzine’s house? That’s the implication that was being made. There’s not really any information about why the warrant was issued.
