Delaware State Police Caught on Video Raiding Home, Killing Dog

Wearing full military gear and wielding high-powered rifles, Delaware state police broke into a home Friday, shooting and killing a dog who was running from them in fear.

The entry was captured on Mark Reedy’s security camera, who says police were looking for guns, but the shooting takes place off-frame.

The video shows the dog running up to the door as they are trying to break in, yelling “state police … search warrant.”

The dog is barking and it’s tail is wagging but as soon as it sees a giant shield enter the home with a gun pointing from behind it, the dog runs away.

Then at least ten cops enter the home, pointing weapons and yelling about a search warrant.

Video at the link. Note that the man in the video is saying that this is about the Delaware State Police trying to confiscate his firearms. While I feel bad for the loss of his dog in a needless raid it is the attempted seizure of firearms that has me posting this to FR.

They could say something like “I’m officer Schmaltz with the state police. We have a warrant to search your home for...”

I am more upset about the killing of the dog

I recently telephoned police to help with a simple traffic accident I witnessed as a BYSTANDER and for them to send help. The officers KNEW in advance the person (me) who called-in the request for assistance was wearing khaki shorts, hiking boots, red hiking socks, and a bright red wool sweater...since I heard their dispatch radioing that very same clothing description to responding officers while I was still on the phone.

I was standing outside my vehicle as they approached.
I began to walk towards the cruisers as they rolled-up and received the crazed "GET THE FU*K BACK INTO YOUR VEHICLE, NOW!" command as they exited. This was at a simple fender-bender where I had just stopped as a motorist because I was an impartial witness. The two other drivers were totally cool and were exchanging information. Nobody was fighting or even raising their voices.

Had I accidentally stumbled, reached for my phone, suffered a muscle spasm, or anything else unexpected...that 'roid-raging maniac with the vein bulging out of his forehead would have drawn his service weapon and shot me. It was a surreal and life-changing experience. I will never, ever willingly help another police officer again in my life.

Contemporary police officers are completely drunk with power.

According to the article the guy wasn't home at the time. What isn't explained is why they were raiding his home for guns in the first place.

I witnessed a vehicle smash into a store. The driver of the vehicle saw me and drove off. So I called 911. Many, many years ago.

When the cop showed up, he asked me if I did it. I replied, ‘Do you think I would actually hang around for you guys to show up for 10 minutes if I was the guy? I said, no, I’m am the guy who CALLED you guys’.

Good gosh.

A week or two later I visited the store. Didn’t even get a ‘thank you’ for saving their merchandise. Ingrates. Well, they’ve been out of business a long time now.

And the GOP is filled with Dem liberals supporting everything the over the table liberals do. Mitch and Jonbon did campaign on working with Barry afterall.

The GOP sits in total silence every time an incident like this happens. Every time the left goes off on a tear over guns...In fact, all they do is sit in silence. Silence is consent. Then they pass bills and continuing resolutions that fully fund the libs of Delaware and everywhere else.

Were these POS doing their job as the opposition, episodes like this would not exist.
