Bush to flood airwaves with ads prior to primary
Boston Herald ^ | 12/26/15 | Chris Cassidy

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and his super PAC are set to dominate the TV airwaves between now and the Granite State primary, reserving more than $14 million in commercials on both New Hampshire and Boston stations - including two Super Bowl spots - the Herald has learned.

It's a clear sign that Bush operatives, despite criticism over already spending more than $35 million nationally on commercials for just 4 percent in the polls, are doubling down on a strategy of massive TV buys.

Bush's forces plan to spend $14.1 million on ads on TV stations in New Hampshire and Boston leading up to the primary

-snip-

Bush-s independent super PAC Right to Rise has already reserved two 30-second ads during the Super Bowl - which will be played just two days before the New Hampshire primary - on Boston CBS affiliate WBZ at a total cost of $600,000.

When the product is bad, no amount of advertising or marketing helps. There is no such thing as a really good ad for a product people don’t want to buy.

In fact, I would say that once people have closed their mind to a product further hectoring them with ads only makes their resistance greater. Yeb has reached that point.

Massive T.V. ads do work to move your poll numbers up...

Even if he doubles his poll numbers he still will be at 8 percent...

Yawn...

His strategy depends on the NH voters not being able to tell sh1t from shinola. I predict that strategy will fail.

For Superbowl, I think Jeb would get a more enthusiastic reception if he used his commercial time to replay a Budweiser ad with the Clydesdales, ending with a “brought to you by...”

Mike Murphy has promised all of Jeb’s Right To Rise donors that Jeb will finish in the Top 3 in NH.

Sounds like Jebesito sees NH as his last chance and is throwing all the money in his last gasp effort.

In the last rolling poll, Jebesito was lower than “Not voting”.

I really despise the Bush family - all leftwing crony socialists.

I must be very lucky — no political ads from any candidate here. Hopefully, Jeb’s campaign will eventually run out of money, so I won't have to listen to his drivel.

I understand the consultant's wanting to continue the spending {they get a cut} and Bush doesn't care, {it's not his money} BUT, who in the hell put all this money up and is OK with the way it is being squandered?

Rich people usually are not stupid, BUT.......????

Glad to see Columba tested the "guaca bowle"(sic) thoroughly. Avocado stains will wear off after a week or so.

Jeb dad is the reason were in this mess

If the mess you're referring to is in the Middle East, you couldn't be more wrong. The Gulf war was fought with exactly the right amount of international diplomacy and overwhelming force, while leaving intact the balance of power in the region.

“Even if he doubles his poll numbers he still will be at 8 percent”

And those votes are likely to come at the expense of Rubio and Kasich. I’m feeling pretty good about this coming year.
