Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) has earned the support of conservative favorite Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), who will join the freshman Senator for a three-day trip to Iowa to rally support for his campaign.
“Marco is a rock solid conservative and a strong leader we can trust,†Gowdy said in a statement proved to reporters. “I look forward to campaigning in Iowa with him, and introducing my good friend to voters across the state.â€
Gowdy is a celebrity among many conservatives, thanks to his tough prosecutorial grilling of members of the administration officials during congressional hearings and because he has chaired the Benghazi investigative committee that centers on Hillary Clinton.

This endorsement was supposed to make Rubio look better but it only makes Gowdy look worse.
Rubio is a lying cheat who told the voters of Florida one thing to get elected and then did the opposite. He was elected to do a job and has done nothing but whine and neglect his responsibilities. Why would anyone vote for him to push through amnesty, which is exactly what he and Paul Ryan would do.
Gowdy is from the Issa school of no trophy heads mounted on the wall on his watch. Feckless bluster.
That’s the way I saw it.
Trey Gowdy is no longer on my trusted list and my admiration for his tenacity is gone. He became not relevant when he blew the Benghazi hearing and came up with ZIP. My faith in him is gone.

As much as I followed him and watched different interviews, I thought more of him than what has been going on ...
Cummings (D)Maryland, co-chair of Benghazi hearings leaking all the information he did, and Gowdy with the letter he made public condemning Cummings on what he did to the hearings...I think he just doesn’t care anymore...
Gowdy said he isn’t running again, and is going home and writing a book....guess at this point, he should....
The GOPE still think they can manipulate us with this crap. No! GOPE, it doesn’t work anymore because we no longer trust you. We know you are the enemy. We have resolved to take you all out of power. Too bad you used Gowdy. That was a desperate move. Guess you must have something on him. Oh well. We will rebuild from the ground up starting with Trump and Cruz!
