Steady rise for Trump during December. Here's a
comparison with Reagan's 1980 race with Carter:

I think the July bump correlates when the silent majority starts to realize there’s an election coming up. This far in advance, polling on Trump vs Clinton are like polling about who will win the 2017 World Series.

I’m more worried about the 30+% who refuse to vote.

Now you know. Never underestimate the intelligence of the American public. Especially on election day.

Count me as a part of that group. It’s Ted Cruz or bust. I will not subject myself to being forced to voting for the lesser of 2 liberals again.

Nobody, Republican or Democrat, has attacked Hillary until last week.

Her numbers are already beginning to trend down.

The only way to defeat her is by attacking her. Taking the high road is a sure way to lose.

You really want to lose the election, don't you? Look at some of the recent polls. Cruz polls dismally among independents, while Trump polls by far the best.

Even Chuck Todd this AM on NBC explained that the elitist "in" crowd (my description) would throw the nomination to Cruz if that's the only way to stop Trump, then let him lose the election.

How is that going to make America Great Again?

Resistance to the Liberal controlled media is futile. Cruz is too smart for the dummies that vote. He uses big words that are more than 3 syllables, and the dummies won’t understand his message. He is the perfect target for the Libs, they will use every scare tactic in the book to defeat him, and sadly, it will work! Trumps biggest appeal is he is an outsider, he has the attitude of one of the fed up middle class guys, but with lots of cash. Its going to be an election of the haves and have nots. The haves have a job the have nots are living off of them.

My vote for any republican candidate will depend on who he (notice I say he) chooses for his vice president.
Some here are floating names like jim webb, or condi rice.

Not just no, but hell no.

And before anyone starts with that "but hillary will be president so you have to vote for the republican" stuff....
After seeing what went on in a congress being ruled by a big boehner, and now a little paulie boehner, forget it.

Chuck Todd is an idiot. The in crowd he is talking to is probably Lindsey Graham, another idiot. Nobody in Washington has any control over what’s going on.

...and their dubious reasons some couched in conservative and religious rhetoric.

In reality it doesn’t get more childish than what they refuse to acknowledge, the I’ll show you just how fed up I am idea. Leaving the rest of the nation to suffer because of their hissie fit. If you lose in the Primary, you lose. Why not make it a double and lose in the General? Not just for two years but four and six, what a concept. Surely their has to be a better way of waking the sleeping giant?

Trump will draw out many who have given up on voting.
McAmnesty vs Obozo
Romneycare vs Obozo
Nothing to vote FOR, just against, does not motivate people

Trump motivates people
