(LINK IS TO THE TRAILER)
I was able to attend the sequel to GOD'S NOT DEAD last night. Packed house of pastors and activists. Great movie!
Like the first film, the multi-plot story follows several characters as they faces challenges due to their faith. Many of the characters (and the Newsboys) from the first film are back.
The primary story is about a teacher who answers a student's question in class and references the teachings of Jesus.
Enjoyable film and relevant as today's headlines. A worthy sequel covering new territory. Big cheer from the crowd at the end....
and a set up for GOD'S NOT DEAD 3.
Try to catch it opening weekend. That's what gets Hollywood's attention - BIG numbers opening weekend.

Terrific...loved the first movie, but how different is the sequel from the first movie?
I have watched the 1st one several times, looking forward to seeing the sequel.
[how different is the sequel from the first movie]
The professor died in the first movie, so it should be a new plot.
when is it?
April 1, 2016 is the release date of the sequel.
The sequel has the same pastors from the first film and a few other characters in small roles.
But the new main plot has new characters and is about a teacher being sued by the ACLU.
Several books mentioned in the film are on my reading list. One is by a cold case detective who examined the gospels from that perspective.
Don’t want to spoil anything. It’s as good as the first film and raises important issues.
the first one was great!
YAHOOOO!!! The first one was SO AWESOME to hear the crowd applaud and cheer at the end.
Looks good!
What’s the name of the book you mentioned ?
“One is by a cold case detective who examined the gospels from that perspective.”
God’s Not Dead 2 is on my to-see list...
