Fox News used a pollster to host a pro-Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)79% focus group after Thursday night's Republican debate, despite the fact that the pollster actually had Rubio as a client.
Pollster Frank Luntz got significant airtime to direct a post-debate focus group that unsurprisingly was very favorable to Rubio, the GOP establishment pick in the primary race.
"Megyn, you asked probably the toughest question of the debate. You gave the candidates no room to wiggle. You pressed him. And he responded," Luntz gushed to Megyn Kelly, awkwardly referring only to Rubio before even mentioning him by name. "I want to begin with the most important and impactful moment of this debate. It was your challenge of Marco Rubio. And watch how well he did on immigration."
The focus group, featuring pre-selected ordinary Americans, was a love letter to Rubio.
But Rubio actually had Luntz on his payroll at one time.
Rubio hired Luntz to work on a document called "100 Innovative Ideas for Florida's Future." Fox News did not disclose Luntz's past business relationship with Rubio Thursday night.
Nevertheless, GOP Establishment flacks cited Luntz's post-debate focus group to defend Rubio's subpar performance.

Caught the first minute of this Rubio fest. Thought Frank Luntz looked, well, not well. His hair looked dirty, his clothes way too common, ordinary for post-debate TV, and frankly, disheveled. Couldn’t turn to another station fast enough.
It ain’t just Luntz. Lots of eye opening for me these past weeks. I thought Fox News was simply a free market operation that gave right leaning people a place to see the news without being insulted. It’s far from that it turns out.
Luntz is a putz....creepy, person who advocates a Brave New World with Rubio....kiddies copulating in the bushes.
Boy, Fox News has been so dishonest and shady this election cycle. Can’t trust them any further than you can throw them.

Luntz knows who writes the big checks. FAUX News, “We deceive, you believe” has been in the tank for Rubio for a while now.
The last few debates they claimed Rubio won.
I watched The Five yesterday, and they didn’t mention Trump not once,but in the past few days they talked about the whole time. It was funny to see them holding back. They not doubt were issued a gag order due to Rush raking them over the coals.
The whole debate was rigged. As usual the audience and the focus group was stacked with Jeb and Rubio lemmings. This morning, Fox trying to put a happy face on what was clearly a disaster for them. If you think about it, Trump has single handedly taken on big corrupt media and Bill Clinton whose approval is now down to 39 percent.
Luntz...nothing but a shill for FNC, IMO.
Again, FNC insults us by thinking we are idiots that can’t see the truth.
So now the process is corrupt down to the microscopic level...
Rubio has family connections to FOX and his campaign.
FOX is rigged and Kelly the tramp is right there to cheer them on.
Does FOX know they were flops last night? IO have not watched them, nor do I now, but I would think that their ego and the slutty tramp at the head of it would claim victory.
Me,too....I was a sucker of the largest magnitude. FNC 24/7....Then Megyn opened my eyes and I started paying attention. This did it for me.....everyone is in the same bed....DOJ?? DOS??? FNC ???Really??
