Cruz has a reputation as being unlikeable. I have never met him but I have heard him speak. He definitely has an edge of hostility about him that is unconnected to the subject he is discussing. It's just in him. I was around for the Nixon era. He was pretty unlikeable too. I am reminded of Nixon by Cruz. Something dark about that guy.

I attribute it to be a PK (Preacher's Kid). Having a father who is a Baptist Fundamentalist with dreams of Dominionism has to leave a mark.

Nah, no one seems to care about honesty and ethics anymore. Cruz must have hired Acorn advisors.

The threatening emails and shame letter got me thinking he’s a conniving snake. No ethics. Typical lawyer.

I doubt it. American values is in the toilet. Cruz has gotten away with more then any candidate in history. He is not asked tough questions, he gets easy interviews, and no media negativity especially when it was deserved. If Trump spoke 40 minutes on absolutely nothing like Cruz did, he would be vilified all day today. What do we hear from the media? Crickets. I think the media knows that Clinton and probably Bernie can beat Cruz so why not allow him to be our nominee. So frustrating.

As it stands now I see three winning tickets.

Trump/Cruz A conservative dream ticket - GOPee nightmare ticket

Trump/Rubio A ticket that appeals to conservatives and GOPee

Cruz/Rubio A ticket that appeals to conservatives and GOPee

There are three more but they are extremely unlikely

Cruz/Trump Rubio/Trump Rubio/Cruz

The ticket that would get the most votes is Trump/Rubio IMO

Only tickets with Trump at the top will best appeal to Reagan democrats as Cruz has limited appeal for them IMO. I am unsure about Rubio’s appeal to Reagan democrats.

I think this is the same polling company that predicted Trump’s resounding victory over Cruz in IA. No, wait...

When you out and out cheat and steal the primary, it is easy to win.

Trump sours on Cruz, picks a running mate from out in center or right field, not necessarily from the current Washington denizens.

You like Sanders? How? I mean I’m really curious. You know he’s a socialst/ commie, right?

No offense meant. Or criticism.

Well, he is a lawyer! That’s right up there, or down there, with used car salesman in likability.

The only poll that matters is the poll taken the first Tuesday in November....

I’m for Trump. But I wish Rubio and Cruz were more credible on illegals, then I would have a “good problem”. Credibility goes to Trump on illegals AND economy, trade deals.
________________________________________________________

Yeah Cruz has been pretty consistent on illegals and help stop amnesty while Trump was pro amnesty a couple of years ago and now talks about touch and go legalization for illegals.

Tha is being consistent?

Really?

It’s a conviction issue. Trump seems credible, he has the gravitas to potentially follow through on immigration measures that are more extreme than anyone’s. Deportation, pause on Muslim immigration. Will Ted do those things? Are are they “too hard”?

Trump is a natural borders & language guy even though he has lived a sheltered existence immigration wise.

Cruz has done little while he has seen the problems working in different capacities for 20 years in Texas.

It’s the true third rail of politics…insiders like Ted/Marco have to play along, simple as that.

The establishment would tell Rubio to pick a key state, older VP. Kasich most likely.

Good point. Cruz is from Texas. What the heck has he done to stop the invasion?

And why did Club for Growth, an open borders group, donate $705,000 to Cruz?

Hmmm....

Do y’all know somewhere I can find a nice bullet list of all these things about Cruz that most evangelicals don’t know? I keep finding out new stuff every day, seeing snippets like that “Club for Growth” donation, but can’t find a list all in one place.
