They are ALL opportunists - including Cruz, Trump and Carson, doing what they think it takes to win within the bounds of the law and the rules established by the party. And frankly, this is child’s play compared to what the Dems do in their primaries, not to mention the general election.
Prior to the 1934 Naturalization Act a women could not confer her citizenship to her child. But it gets worst for Cruz. Until the mid late 1800's a women citizenship was determined by her husband. So in 1790 an American woman that married a Cuban became a Cuban citizen. that is why the 1790s' legislation talks about the father not the mother. Its the father that is conferring citizenship not the mother. So if we are going by original intent had Baby Ted been born in 1790 little Ted was Cuban by blood and Canadian by soil. One more time, going by original intent had Baby Ted would not even be a American citizen.
Now how yall turn that into a natural born American citizen is something just just do not get. The only way one can do that is to claim that the constitution does not say what it plainly says. IE living document.
If congressional legislation makes you citizen you are a naturalize citizen not a natural born citizen. Cruz was make a citizen via the 1934 and follow up legislation.

Cruz was born in 1970. Its now the year of our Lord 2016.

Cruz was an American at birth by his mother, by birthright. He did not petition a court for his citizenship and therefor was not naturalized. Cruz is a Natural Born Citizen based on current legal opinions and court rulings.
The Supreme Court was created by the Constitution to interpret law which includes the Constitution.
False, he was a citizen at birth via a NATURALIZATION ACT that makes Cruz a naturalized citizen. The only way you can get to Cruz being a natural born citizen is by saying the constitution means whatever I want it to mean. Which is how we got abortion, same sex marriage and the IRS. It is not possible to get there using original intent.

Get a clue everyone! Karl Rove is trying to damage Cruz, to further help the GOPe golden boy, Rubio, not to help Trump. Of course, Rubio’s campaign did the exact same thing as Cruz, but he is given a pass.
The entire argument is silly. If Cruz's people had instead said "Carson will likely leave the race next month", the same number of caucus attendees would have abandoned Carson.
Saw this last night...but just one problem...
How do ALL the votes go to Cruz? Couldn’t they have gone to any of the others?
