Ted Cruz Campaign: 500,000 Votes Already Cast in Texas
Breitbart ^ | February 24, 2016 | MICHELLE MOONS

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- 500,000 votes have already been cast in Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)'s home state of Texas, and one million will be cast by Friday, giving Cruz a decisive edge over Donald Trump, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick told Breitbart News Tuesday night.

Patrick told Breitbart News that early voting favors Cruz, because Trump has not had as much time campaigning in Texas.

"This race is getting down to two people. Rubio doesn't have a pathway to victory," Patrick added, noting that one million early votes would represents 60 percent of the total in Texas.

...

Candidates must win at least 20 per cent of the votes in Texas to be awarded any delegates, Patrick explained, suggesting that Trump and Cruz would likely be the only candidates receiving delegates in Texas on March 1, "Super Tuesday," next week. He told reporters that if Rubio does break 20 per cent, he would still only win a couple of delegates.

Patrick emphasized that Texas alone has more delegates than Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada put together, allowing Cruz to make up a significant portion of the current gap with Trump...

What does early voting have to do with Cruz winning the State?

Houston is a liberal canker sore on the state who indicted pro-life reporters over the Planned Parenthood investigation. Of course they’ll vote for the New York values liberal in the race.

You got that right!
If God WANTS it to happen, it will, and nothing’s going to stop it.
But, if God says NO, nothing’s going to MAKE it happen either.
Guess the Cruz’ got the wrong message, or like Abraham of old, tried to hurry things along.

TED CRUZ: U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, Hearing, 5/21/13:

"And I'd like to make a final point to those advocacy groups that are very engaged in this issue and rightly concerned about addressing our immigration system and, in particular, about addressing the situation for the 11 million who are currently in the shadows. If this amendment is adopted to the current bill, the effect would be that those 11 million under this current bill would still be eligible for RPI status. They would still be eligible for legal status and indeed, under the terms of the bill, they would be eligible for LPR status as well so that they are out of the shadows, which the proponents of this bill repeatedly point to as their principal objective to provide a legal status for those who are here illegally to be out of the shadows. This amendment would allow that happen, but what it would do is remove the pathway to citizenship so that there are real consequences that respect the rule of law and that treat legal immigrants with the fairness and respect they deserve. And a second point to those advocacy groups that are so passionately engaged. In my view, if this committee rejects this amendment, and I think everyone here views it as quite likely this committee will choose to reject this amendment, in my view, that decision will make it much, much more likely that this entire bill will fail in the House of Representatives. I don't want immigration reform to fail. I want immigration reform to pass. And so I would urge people of good faith on both sides of the aisle, if the objective is to pass common sense immigration reform that secures the borders, that improves legal immigration, and AMNESTY: that allows those who are here illegally to come in out of the shadows. Then we should look for areas of bipartisan agreement and compromised to come together. And this amendment, I believe, if this amendment were to pass, the chances of this bill passing into law would increase dramatically."

And you know what else came out of Texas... the very case that the Supremes decided that the perverts could get married.... Where was Cruz on that case... maybe in New York City taking a payoff from those gay billionaires ..... Cruz will rue the day he brought up anyone else's values.... s n i c k e r!!!!!!

Those of us in the service of our country overseas usually vote based by absentee ballot assigned to the state and county of one's US domestic residence, when that primary is up. A caucus is out of the question because one has to be physically present for that. So, for example, a member of the USAF here could go and send in an absentee for New Hampshire, but would have no primary election voice if he or she was from Iowa or Nevada.

Thanks for asking.

” There are very few Trump supporters who say they wouldn’t vote for Cruz in the general election. “

***

Well, THAT’s because most of the ‘Croozers’ are more mature and less insulting than the Trump pushers... The vile hatred that comes from THAT side pushes anyone NOT supporting him very far away.

Think about that for a bit... makes sense, doesn’t it?

For example, Despite Cruz^s attacks on his party^s donor class and establishment, the Texas senator Ted Cruz^s GOP campaign has received $37 million from just four donors.

The Wilks family of Cisco, Texas, New York hedge fund tycoon Bob Mercer, Texas energy investor Toby Neugebauer and Illinois manufacturing moguls Dick and Liz Uihlein.

Video's do not lie. Believe Your Lyin Eyes!

His BC: Ted Cruz has close association with the Bushes. He worked on George W. Bush^s 2000 presidential campaign as a domestic policy adviser and served in the Bush administration as associate deputy attorney general in the Justice Department and director of policy planning in the Federal Trade Commission.

Time magazine article: [Time magazine had one of many reports clarifying his immigration posturing:

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz declined to close the door to a potential pathway to legal status for the 11 million people in the U.S. illegally Friday, saying he wouldn"t elaborate on his plans for them until after the border is secure.

Seeking to carve out a space between real estate mogul Donald Trump, who is calling for the forcible deportation of those in the U.S. illegally, and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, who co-authored the Gang of Eight comprehensive immigration reform bill that included a pathway to citizenship, Cruz would not explicitly rule out a pathway to legal status for the undocumented.

That, plus his previous support for a huge increase in H1B visas, stymied him as he tried to launch an attack on Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), who was a co-author and major mover on the Gang of 8 immigration bill that passed the Senate overwhelmingly. On one level, Rubio" team is simply pointing out that if anti-immigration types want the real deal, Cruz is not the one. Rubio, of course, benefits if Cruz cannot capture the anti-immigration segment of the electorate to whom Donald Trump panders. On another level, however, what is at stake is a larger argument about Cruz's character. Essentially. the argument goes: He is not a hard-liner; he's an opportunist whose positions are no different, and in some cases worse, than those of other Republicans.

On immigration, for example, the entire anti-"amnesty" crusade is a canard unless, like Trump, you want to round people up and kick them out. Otherwise, you are exactly where other candidates are fix the border, reform legal immigration and then regularize the 11 million here. Cruz spends his time excoriating other Republicans for squishiness, but when you get down to it, he's exactly where they are” unwilling to undertake a massive, expensive, intrusive deportation program. In other words, he's not an anti-immigration extremist; he's just posturing as one.

What do we know about Rafael Eduardo Cruz? He was born in a foreign country. He was admitted to Harvard only because of Affirmative Action Admissions Policies. He was given good grades by Liberal professors because of his race, even though his work was substandard. He has kept his college transcripts secret for reasons he will not admit. He has had a shameful Senate record, accomplishing nothing, not voting, not showing up for work. He has never had a real job in the private sector.

That’s an act of desperation to repeat a vague statement - he doesn’t say what he was convinced of. Knowing what border cities look like, he was probably convinced to build a wall. But more importantly, that one vague statement was never corroborated - it is hearsay by one liberal politician with zero witnesses.

The Cruz campaign is desperate. Even Texas is in play now.
