Chris Christie Endorses Donald Trump
The New York Times ^ | February 25, 2016 | Staff

Posted on 02/26/2016 9:50:55 AM PST by abb

Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey endorsed Donald J. Trump on Friday, a major turn in a wild race and one that gives the New York businessman a major boost as he heads into the pivotal Super Tuesday contests.

Mr. Christie was a candidate himself until he came in sixth place in New Hampshire’s primary. But his backing of Mr. Trump comes after weeks of him saying that it was time for the “entertainment” portion of the race to end, and as he had said that the type of executive leadership that a governor has is important.

The Eastern establishment endorses the Eastern establishment. That’s not surprising, is it. It sad to see so many people thinking that Trump will be anti establishment. Trump is the establishment. Christie knows it. Rudy Guiliani knows it, Ann Coulter knows it. When are you people going to wake up?

I am thinking he is going to be the attack dog from a legal perspective on Hillary.

From your keyboard to God's ears. And I pray that will happen.

Bingo. The biggest mistake Reagan made was tapping social climbing argyle cowboy GHWBush, who then dismantled all his work, in his one-term followup disaster of a presidency. And how we got to the era of Clintoonianism and their lap pals (including, sorry to say, mr.T).

And Monday Huckabee will do the same.

I hope so, I like Huckabee. Not my choice for President but I do think he's a good and honest man. I love having these totally honest people for politicians. I hope Cain also endorses Trump. Always liked Cain and he was my choice. Hated to see him drop out.

"at least a RINO herder?"

Absolutely. Leaders lead the herd, lasso in the rogues, but RINOs always follow.

I would love to see a discussion/debate only on knowledge of the Constitution.

But I dream.

“NJ moderate supports the NY liberal.”:

“Make America Great Again”

“Build a wall and make Mexico pay for it.”

“I’m just not in favor of gay marriage.”

Now correct me if I’m wrong but don’t most liberals cringe at the above quotes?

“He keeps racking up the RINO support while making everyone believe he’s not one of them.”

Again, I’m sorry, but Mitt, McCain, all the Bushes, Kasich, McConnell, etc., and the rest of the Rhino’s, are aligning up to vigorously oppose Trump.

In fact, in their opposition to Trump, one could say the Rhino’s have never been so energized!

“Funny stuff the zombies will rationalize away.”

It is funny stuff, in that you’re so far from reality it’s comical.

> Southerns prefer fighters like Trump and Christie over two big talking do nothing politicians like Cruzio.

And just what are Trump and Christie fighting for ?

The Constitution ?
Smaller Government ?
Equal justice under the law ?

Please provide specifics to these questions ...

"Trump was interested in politics but never actually done it - sort of like being into Fantasy Baseball and then running the Yankees and doing a decent job of it ."

Oh, okay, so he was in the "fantasy" Reform party elections and the "fantasy" votes.

On October 19, 1999 Donald Trump announced he would file to appear on the California primary ballot.[11] During the California primary, he received 15,311 votes.[12] Trump ultimately withdrew his candidacy.

Covering up for the trumpster, are ya?

I want to know what you would be saying right now if Christy came out today for Cruz.

I know what I'd be saying.....

That's not good

I know that they don't mean a whole lot, but except for David Duke, and yeah, Glenn Beck, on the whole, endorsements provide a good feel if nothing else.

Agree. Would not surprise me to see a Huckabee endorsement over the weekend, giving it some time in the South to percolate before Super Tuesday.

If Huckabee endorses, another nail in the coffin of the Cruz campaign as Huckabee will give more evangelical street cred to Trump.

Cruz may still win Texas, but that will be the final highlight in his campaign.
