Obama, Republicans urge Trump to soften tone

Donald Trump is facing bipartisan pressure to adopt a more presidential tone in his White House run including from Democratic President Barack Obama and Republicans who worry his missteps may do irreparable harm to the party and his campaign.

The Republican front-runner came under fire from Obama on Friday over Trump's recent comments that he would not rule out using nuclear weapons in Europe and that Japan and South Korea might need nuclear weapons to ease the U.S. financial commitment to their security.

"...The person who made the statements doesn't know much about foreign policy or nuclear policy or the Korean peninsula, or the world generally," Obama told a news conference at the conclusion of a nuclear security summit in Washington.

"I've said before that people pay attention to American elections. What we do is really important to the rest of the world," he said.

Trump lost ground on the online prediction market after drawing fire for his suggestion, later dialed back, that women be punished for getting abortions if the procedure is banned.

Those who marveled at Trump's rise are warning the front-running New York billionaire that his shoot-from-the-lip approach to campaigning could jeopardize his chance to win the Republican nomination to the Nov. 8 election.

Tuesday could be a turning point when Wisconsin hosts its nominating contest. Trump, 69, trails his leading rival, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, 45, of Texas in the Upper Midwestern state.

A Cruz win would make it harder for Trump to reach the magic number of 1,237 delegates needed to secure the nomination before the Republican national convention in July. The winner will take all of Wisconsin's 42 delegates.

"If he continues to fumble the ball, he risks everything," said David Bossie,...

"...The person who made the statements doesn't know much about foreign policy or nuclear policy or the Korean peninsula, or the world generally," Obama told a news conference referring to Mr. Trump.

Here is a destroyer of a once viable nation who hasn't a clue about the 'world generally', which doesn't matter given his mission. He promised the idiot voters 'hope and change' and he gave them radical change and hope that he goes away and is never heard of again.

It appears now that America's only hope is to elect a non-politician and, who knows, perhaps his bombastic demeanor will cause our enemies to crawl back into their rat holes.

F*** Obama. Who gives a damn what this clown thinks? When you look at the rogue’s gallery of thugs trying to stop Trump, it becomes clear why it’s essential he wins.

Mr. Trumps foreign policy is simple: He’s not going to allow the USA to be a chump to the rest of the world any longer - economically, militarily, culturally.

But the pantywaist career politicians are too stupid and cowardly to see that.

Their definition of sounding “Presidential’ is?

Recall that 0bama made Biden his running mate based on his ‘foreign policy’ experience. In reality, Gates was the adult. and he stated Biden was wrong on every foreign policy discussion they ever had. 0bama’s plan is appeasement and unilateral disarmament John Kerry’s is bring James Taylor.

if that’s the Reuters definition of presidential, I don’t want it.

Were back to “tone”?

What happened to “specifics”?

The flailing is making my head spin.

He’s just playing into the liberal media tactic that Trump is “too extreme”. Meanwhile he supports the Muslim Brotherhood and radical Marxist elements that want power in this country.
