Trump won’t need that many delegates. He’ll need under 100 maybe. After New York, trump will need 281 delegate to get to get it done. April 26th will make a huge dent in that number. Trump would be terrible to bring on the liberal Cruz since he doesn’t need that many delegates.

If Cruz is ever going to be President ....this is the final votes he has to get to do it

Justice Clarence Thomas
Chief Justice John G. Roberts
Justice Anthony M. Kennedy
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Justice Sonia Sotomayor
Justice Stephen G. Breyer
Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr.
Justice Elena Kagan

So how many pro Cruz vs pro Hillary votes do you count in this bunch?

Hillary and the Democrats will do anything to make sure these are the people voting at the end on Cruz

“Jeffery Lord is a liberal, GOPe insider, globalist piece of dirt bag! “

That sure explains why Reagan had Jeff Lord working for him. /s

Cruz is a Globalist Sleeper Cell.

Trump is a Patriot Sleeper Cell.

Hence, why the Establishment is freaking out over Trump.

At some point self preservation has to come into play-it’s a gamble either way.

I would prefer an actual Conservative as a Trump running mate, a Governor perhaps.

Then at least there'd be ONE conservative on that ticket. There are no governors who would be acceptable to Trump voters. Even Walker and Jindal would not make the cut.

Yet Ted cannot win without Trump Voters.

Ted Plays well in the Midwest.

He will win most of the south, with the exception of Florida. He needs Trump for that state

Without Trump on the ticket, he does very poorly in New York, Michigan, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia and Ohio.

They need each other, it is plain as day.

I hope both of them can get over their respective egos and do what is right for the country.

What swing state would Cruz bring to the table? Ohio? Pennsylvania? Florida? Any?

“Lord noted that the “Harry Truman values” Reagan endorsed included single-payer health care.”

Once again, only conservatives are held accountable for
what they say and do, support and endorse. Liberals always
get a pass. You can schmooze and support all the liberal
politicians, conspire with and praise all the socialists
you want as long as your not conservative you get a pass.

Reagan also had people working for him that assured him there were only one million illegal aliens in country.

Cruz brings in about 30 % of the republican traditional voters who believe in him. You can say what you will, but he appeals to a lot of people in the Midwest west of the Mississippi river.

I know there are bad feelings on both sides, but the fact is the republicans need to get to around 67 million votes, at a minimum to win this election.

Base was 61 million in the last election. Trump brings in around 10 percent non-traditional republican voters, of which 2 to 3 million come out of the democratic pile.

Nice path to 67 million and holding the Dems to less than 65 million.

But that assumes that he holds the 61 million traditional voters intact. To do that he needs Cruz, simple as that.

Because he would have give up his principles to go along with Trump and whatever he stands for. And would permanently lose me.

Good point. Not everyone there was a good guy, especially in the second term.

“Personnel is policy” is something I remember from that time.

Cruz brings absolutely nothing to a Trump/Cruz ticket.

Trump needs someone who is politically savvy ... not a junior Senator from a state that any Republican will carry.

If Trump puts Cruz on the ticket so will the Dems. We’ll get an endless carpet bombing of all Cruz’s rough edges. The “gays must die” TV ads, etc.., etc. Net effect will be negative, IMO.
