New York Post ^ | May 3, 2016 | Mark Cunningham

Ted Cruz did the right and honorable thing by suspending his presidential campaign Tuesday night. John Kasich should follow suit. It’s time for the party to unite against Hillary Clinton.

Donald Trump’s massive win Tuesday in Indiana confirmed the trends of the last two weeks: A majority of GOP voters have decided he’s their nominee.

For any other candidate to keep fighting would only help Hillary...

I’m for a Trump-Santorum ticket to reach disenchanted Cruz backers.

I’d be 100% for a Trump - Palin ticket myself.

Big time.

Definitely.

Need to emphasize how important turnout is. People need to actually get out and vote for Trump.

Trump needs to patch things up with Cruz and make him V.P.

Trump / West might just win a lot of supporters.

Trump specifically mentioned West today. That could be quite a powerful ticket.

And I like West, also.

Highly unlikely.

Mister trump is a lifelong Dem, 9/11 truther, Planned Parenthood supporting POS.

Although I've done my best to convince the very fine folks hereabouts that Mister trump is nothing but the second coming of Perot (and have accrued some awfully nasty insults), I've always treated my fellow Freepers with high regard.

That said, you can keep your very, very, very inarticulate, unpresidential, unworldly, dissolute (just look at him), insulting (to others and himself), boorish, NewYorkian-valued, creep.

Thanks anyhoo.

If John Kasich drops out, will anybody even notice?

He looks to get barely 8% tonight in Indiana, the neighboring state to the one and only state he did win in.

With Cruz out, we are looking at Trump sweeping the rest of the states. Kasich will be 1 for 50.

I think Kasich is only in the race because he is able to charge his meals to the campaign. And he is having a lot of meals.

I don’t think anyone is holding Trump up to be some sort of moral saint, but look at the alternatives left. That snake Hillary? Commie Bernie? Trump’s by no means a model candidate, but you’d be hard pressed to convince me he’s as bad as those two. Plus, the curse of the conservative cause has always been infighting. People staying home on election day, because they’re sticking far too much to the hope of a perfect principled candidate where no such thing exists. Whereas before the rather bitter Bernie-Hillary schism of the current election cycle, the Dems seemed to fairly uniformly vote for whoever their party vomited up. Honestly, while I’m not big on Trump personally, I’d advise everyone to hold their nose and do the same this election cycle, if only to avert a Hildebeast victory.

How do you go from Lying Ted is the biggest liar I’ve ever seen in my life to Ted Cruz is the second best person in America to lead the nation.

Yes Trump has a lot of uniting to do, but that seems like a bridge too far.

I'm now all in for Trump for President.

Unfortunately the final Dem nominee will neither be Hillary or Bernie.

They, as in the past, will look at facts, and nominate Biden, or some other candidate with less baggage.

I believe we have been exposed to a Media driven contrived theatrical shadow campaign. Hillary is sick, and they know Bernie cannot win. The super delegates in the Dem party will not let either be the nominee.
