Top Republican donors may be taking their time flocking to Donald Trump, but a prominent billionaire is on board: energy and hedge fund magnate T. Boone Pickens.

Pickens, speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a hedge fund conference in Las Vegas, said he talked to Trump Monday and confirmed to the New York billionaire and presumptive nominee he'd support his candidacy.

T Boone? Free Enterprise?

Wikipedia's page on T Boone Pickens:

"In an editorial, The New York Times reported Pickens "has decided that drilling for more oil is not the whole answer to the nation's energy problems."

In the spring of 2010, Senator Kerry reached out to Pickens and encouraged his support of energy/climate change legislation he was drafting with Senators Lieberman and Graham. During a May 2010 meeting with reporters, Senator Kerry endorsed key provisions of “the Pickens Plan,” incorporating aspects of that in the Kerry-backed legislation calling for the greater use of domestic natural gas to replace foreign oil/diesel/gasoline in America’s heavy duty vehicle fleets.

President Trump will stop the largest THEFT by China in the history of world, from United States, which is #1 reason for loss of millions of manufacturing (read middle class) jobs. Nothing wrong China exporting stuff here, but what is wrong is that China does not reciprocate by importing even 10% from us.

But the Second Law of Thermodynamics tripped up T. Boone’s pipe dreams of wind power. I kind of doubt that he’s still thinking like he did in 2010.

So, you are aware that NOTHING on wiki can be trusted except for such hard, indisputable facts like the molecular weight of water and such, right?

Good point...the business landscape changes rapidly. 16 years is a long time in energy and technology. Heck, my thinking changed about the political party I affiliated with for thirty years. And it was Donald Trump that opened my eyes; (D) or (R), two sides of the same big government coin.

Sounds like Pickens wasn’t too upset about Trump’s tax plan.

Free Enterprise? T Boone Pickens?

“Attempt to sell natural gas with a California Ballot Initiative”

“In November 2008, California voters rejected a referendum by a 60% to 40% margin regarding natural gas. Pickens owns Clean Energy Fuels Corporation, a natural gas fueling station company[33] that was the primary backer of the November 2008 Proposition 10 on California’s ballot. Much of the measure’s sale of $5 billion in general fund bonds to provide alternative energy rebates and incentives ($9.8 billion after interest) would have benefitted Pickens’ company to the exclusion of almost all other clean-vehicle fuels and technology.”[34]

I would imagine that anything that has to do with energy will endorse Trump and defense also.

Trump is going to have to get backing from some big $$$....I keep asking republicans to donate to his campaign and mostly I get ‘He’s rich, let him do it!’

So, Unless you all want to open up your wallet, we have to accept some money from SOME ONE. Trump isn’t going to be bought off by any of them. That I’m convinced of. I say use the hell out of any of them we can.

Today, I sent The Trump campaign $25.00. It can’t hurt to let this media know his supporters are putting their $$ where their mouth is!
