The presumptive Republican candidate in the US presidential election, Donald Trump, has called on Muslims to work with the police and "turn people in". In an interview with the UK's ITV, Mr Trump said he was not anti-Muslim, but "anti-terror".
He was reacting to remarks by UK Prime Minister David Cameron that he was "stupid, divisive and wrong" in calling for Muslims to be banned from the US. Mr Trump made the call last year, when he was not the party's front-runner.
He insisted that when he called for an immediate temporary ban on Muslims being allowed into America, there had been criticism only from politicians. Millions of people from all over the world had called in, he said, saying "Donald Trump is right".
Asked whether he would re-phrase those comments in the light of the controversy they caused, Mr Trump said: "It got people thinking. Whether it's good for me or bad for me, I don't really care."

Trump is who I have been waiting for all along. Muslims want to prove themselves against Islamist - then show it. We American, the west and Christianity owe nothing to Islam and have nothing to prove to them. We are the superior civilization not them.

Not many weeks ago, I recall a trusted source saying that the number of terrorists turned in by Muslims is basically zero. I.e., all the “outreach” and press conferences at mosques have yielded nothing.

It would be difficult because that is a tight knit society. Normally a lone Muslim does not strike out on his own, independent of his popular roots.

Reading this, and the obvious BBC slant, it really brings home to me how utterly clueless much of the world press is. There are truly smart and dedicated journalists, but so many, too many, are ideologues without common sense or ethics who are convinced they are social justice warriors, but ultimately want byline credit more than anything. It’s truly depressing, because the press is capable of so much more, and could be the entity properly and fairly vetting all ‘leaders’.
Shiites will turn in Sunnis and Sunnis will turn in Shiites. Yeah, right...just like the denizens of the ‘hood will turn in the drug dealing baby-daddies and the multi-identity EBT queens.
