TV News Feasts on Trump Controversies While Ignoring Hillary’s Scandals

Voters who have relied on the network evening newscasts for information about the 2016 presidential candidates saw four times more airtime devoted to controversies involving presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump than to the scandals surrounding his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

Indeed, the only Clinton scandal to receive more than a minimal amount of attention from the networks during the primaries was the ongoing investigation of Clinton’s use of a private e-mail server and her mishandling of classified information while serving as Secretary of State. The networks paid little or no attention to a host of other Clinton controversies that likely would have been big news if they had been associated with her GOP opponent.

MRC analysts reviewed all 1,099 stories on the ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts which talked about the presidential campaign between January 1 through June 7, including weekends. This tally includes 950 full reports and interview segments; 66 short items read by the anchor; plus 83 stories on other topics that included some discussion of one or more of the candidates.

Trump, or for that matter anyone not in bed with the MSMedia/Marxists/LGBTs/Islamic Imperialists, needs to speak direct to the people above the heads of the MSmedia. I think a daily broadcast / news / info channel of about 30 minutes (which is all that most ordinay folks spend taking in the news/current affairs) is enough. An internet channel would be okay. But not social media such as facebook/twitter as the conversations are too bite-sized, it needs to immitate a 30-minute tv news show.

If he becomes President he will need this more than ever, and will have the resources at his disposal; whether he has the resources now I don’t know.

Trump would not even be in the game if he didn’t have an ace in the hole. He probably wouldn’t even have tossed his hat in the ring without at least one. He needs to maintain speed, altitude and course so that when the time comes he can make his play. Follow that with a victory roll, then be cleared in hot for landing and debriefing. That’s my hope, anyway.

HL, your post took courage and I like your style. I, too, am one of God's warriors. One who prayed for such a man as Trump. As it is God's plan perhaps some across the fruited plain will feel like they need do nothing. The result will be what it will be with no participation on their part. We are all being tested on a daily basis. Will our faith hold fast? We find ourselves on Mount Quarantania tormented and tested daily by evil. Just as DJT must stay strong, unbending, so must we. May God see fit to save our country. May man see fit to turn their face to the Lord once again.

Wonderful post, Harley, just wonderful, and inspirational and from the heart. It was a really nice post to wake up to today. You made our (Trumps supporters) day with your optimistic outlook. Trump (good) will win, and the side of evil will be overcome if we all just stick together and get out and vote for Trump.

As to the Media, we will need to just tune them out, know that everything they say are lies, and they will get their payback in November when Trump becomes President. It won’t be psychologically easy as the MSM is relentless, along with our own side (the GOP Rino’s} like McConnell and Ryan are now the opposition too.

Trump is getting it from all sides now. I pray he and his family can survive the onslaught and prevail. He’s got most of the people in flyover country on his side. Your constant cheer-leading for him sure helps a lot. Keep it up!

Of course it does not help when you have a GOP (with the exception of Trump) that is completely clueless when it comes to combatting them.

The GOP and conservative media are at best lukewarm toward Trump and in many cases hostile to him. You can count the conservative or semi-conservative talkers and Republican politicians who are actively pro-Trump and not run much over a couple of dozen. The MSM is doing a full court press against Trump, more than they did against either Bush, McCain, or Romney. The same politicians and pundits were telling conservatives four years ago to suck it up and support Romney are not doing so this time.

This is a very big point that no one seems to be stressing.  So many scandals are associated with Hillary that no one is covering her super weak resume -- her actual non-qualification to be president.

She's much like Obama, Ryan, Cruz, and Rubio in this way.  Zero experience in the workplace other than lawyering and politicking.

Hillary has never really run anything.  She's been a legislator and lawyer.  She's not been governor of a State.  The only thing she's run is her propaganda campaigns and women harassment operations.

I can't imagine someone like this beating a solid, honest, successful business tycoon like Trump.

It’s important to remember that the democrats had Murray chair the Senate Budget Committee.

Patty Murray has a degree in physical education from Washington State University. She was a pre-school P.E. teacher before getting into politics. She had a catchy phrase, “mom in tennis shoes” that got her elected.

We have a $20 trillion budget deficit and the best that the democrats had to offer to chair the Senate Budget Committee was Patty Murray who had zero business experience.
