Oops! Wrong Castro twin brother.
They do look alike being identical twins but they have very unidentical jobs which Mediaite should have been aware of in differentiating between Texas Congressman Joaquin Castro from HUD Secretary Julian Castro. Unfortunately, Mediaite did mix them up by identifying Joaquin, not Julian, Castro as a vice-presidential hopeful in a story this morning titled, ABC Anchor Asks VP Hopeful Castro if Hillary is ‘Sensitive Enough’ to White Trump Voters:

What happens if they pull some kind of common identical twin scam, either on the campaign trail or in high office by making an appearance in the other twin’s name?

The other twin with more hair, has a slightly stronger jawline, or slimmer face. I’ve never heard them speak or seen walk or see them talk with their hands. These often show differences. With many twins, one is seen as the leader or instigator, the other one seen as a possible follower, or someone willing to go along. This dynamic often goes all the way back to babyhood. The parents (usually) see it, if no one else does.

Actually, I hope Trump does NOT highlight this possibility, unless it’s just a one remark situation. It sounds so ludicrous, and it will revive memory of those weeks in June he wasted talking about a ‘Mexican Judge’ not being suitable to try his case.
I think you may be missing the strong possibility of a constitutional crises.
We would not really know who the Vice President or if we are looking at the real Vice President.
If a Castro twin would become president, how would world leaders know they were dealing with the real president?
I can picture Putin storming out of a meeting yelling “That’s not the real president!”
And if they are pulling the Castro Twin Scam when one of them is our President, what happens if we are attached?
Does the real president have the nuclear launch codes or does the stand in twin president have the nuclear launch codes?
