Did that really happen?

I remember that I enjoyed reading Roberts in the past, so I read this article. I don’t know if he changed, or I changed, but the article seems to merge too many topics, and is also over the top.

I have to admit that I too have succumbed to the temptation to put many of my favorite rants into one blog entry. After all, with enough effort and imagination, most anything can be related to most anything else. So Roberts goes from international policy to voter fraud, etc., all in one article.

A solid, sound, informative article on electronic voting machines (without foreign policy) would have been better IMO.

For those who prefer the kitchen sink approach, let’s not forget the prospect of Barack Hussein Obama, Supreme Court Justice.

It was not until just recently that I began to understand the danger that President Eisenhower warned us of, in his farewell speech of 1961, when he told us to beware the “military-industrial complex”.

He was trying to understand how things could have gotten so crazy as to do that destruction and loss of life. Of course, he saw it first hand.

I have said on FR since 98 that voting machines were the tools of tyrants, and outcomes cannot be challenged successfully.

I feel in my heart that a majority of the voters in this country can not possibly favor Hillary over Trump, but I can not in in my heart predict that Trump will win. This will be the first election since Ike that I am not confident of the outcome.

Either the polls are true or they are not. The trouble is if they are not they will make every effort to make them seem true, with vote fraud. Of course if they are true then the Republic is already dead and it will matter not what we do in this cycle.

I don’t think Eisenhower was addressing the horrors of war. He was concerned about the enormity of the funding devoted to weapons and defense systems. Today’s staggering budgets are way beyond what he could have imagined, I suppose.

You are correct about the costs, however, he saw first hand, what was left of Europe.
