In recent years, Republicans have made inroads into the overwhelmingly Democratic constituency of American Jews. But this year, Republican Jews — or Jewish donors to the Republican party, at least — are abandoning their party’s nominee at a stunningly high rate.
In 2012, 71 percent of the $160 million that Jewish donors gave to the two major-party nominees went to President Obama’s re-election campaign; 29 percent went to Mitt Romney’s campaign, according to our analysis of campaign contributors, which used a predictive model to estimate which donors are Jewish based on their names and other characteristics. This ratio of support mirrors how Jewish voters cast their ballots in 2012.
So far in 2016, of all the money given to major-party candidates by donors who appear to be Jewish, 95 percent has gone to Hillary Clinton and just 5 percent has gone to Donald Trump.

Sadly, a great many Jews have always seemed to have an affinity for globalism and opposition to nationalism.
Maybe it stems from being without a country of their own for so long.
My best Jewish friends are strongly pro-Israel, and fully understand and emotionally agree with Trump’s efforts to ban or extreme-vet Muslim immigrants . . . but they cannot break with their democrat/U.N.-oriented politics. I’ve told them it seems insane, but it does not seem to register. So we talk mostly about our kids’ sports.
Sigh.
They get to spend their money for influence and make a fortune while we get to spend our tax dollars to defend Israel. A damn shame, Trump has been a friend to the Jews and this is how they pay him back and for a Clinton Beast at that. They come off as greedy whores and they wonder why there is so much anti-Semitism.
It’s too late to worry about their money, Trump is where he is because of our money and we’ll get him home with our money.

the socialistic Jews are still donating to the D party machine but the more moderate and conservative Jews are, from everything I can tell anyway, donating to Mr. Trump because they trust him 10000 times more than HilLIARy
and Mr. Adelson just today announced another $5 million donation for Trump’s campaign
Although I see many Clinton TV ad every night here in CA, I wouldn’t expect Trump to waste his money here. I haven’t seen any on TV here & am glad he is running a lean campaign. I am curious though, he has been puling in a lot of money lately - has he been running ads in other states? If so, how many ads has he been running on TV?

No, that’s not it at all. American Jews are hard core liberals. Nothing to do with economics. Most every one of them cares more about the “struggle” than they do about their religion.
We have a large jewish population in Cincinnati and even the jews selling used cars and vinyl siding, working for the EPA, or running a second hand store are dems up and down the ticket.

I heard today that, since the Conventions, Hillary has spent about $150 Million, and Trump has spent $47 Million on TV ads. This does not include PAC and SuperPAC spending, which in Trump's case (Great America SuperPAC, NRA, America Forward PAC, etc.) involves more spent on TV buys than Trump's own campaign.
Still, Hillary is (between TV buys and Ground Game expenses) outspending Trump between 4-and-5-to-1. And he's cleaning her clock.
I’ve a hard time believing it.
I worked with a Jewish man that was a communist. His parents immigrated from USSR and were communist. They kept up with the holidays (also Christian holidays) and traditions but that was about it. He had a brother that lived in Israel that he would go visit. I often wondered what his brother was like.
interesting to me especially since my mom’s dad was jew, but his family became Christian, revised their name, and my mom thought communism was just fine. I have a star of David necklace I wear occasionally and she told me I shouldn’t wear it because people would hate me. Thank God I always thought for myself.
