Drums Along the Potomac

Watching the events of last week online I’m reminded of Drums Along the Mohawk a story about a couple in New York’s Mohawk Valley during the Revolutionary War. The New York frontier settlers fought off Tories, Indians, the British with a small militia, muskets, and grit until peace was restored and they could return to farming.

A revolutionary war is being fought again in New York and D.C., this time between the administration’s corrupted Department of Justice, the compliant press and the Democratic Party on one hand, and the New York Police Department, the U.S. Attorney Preet Bahara, and the FBI on the other. The issues at stake are not all that different: the right of free people to govern themselves. The weapons are not muskets, but the Internet.

In this remarkable column Clairce picks up on the various allegations of horrific corruption and crime that are coming from the NYPD's and FBI's examinations of the Weiner computer and is following the same theme some of the mo,re lurid article posted here have followed. Not sure I'm buying in, but there's a lot of smoke for there to be no fire.

“New York Police Department, the U.S. Attorney Preet Bahara, and the FBI on the other. “

When exactly did the FBI get on the other side?
A few leaks from anonymous sources?
Mythical resignations piling up on Comey’s desk?
All just reputation polishing. They are just as corrupt as ever.

It’s a good read. It is my hope that all of it will be put out in the open. I’m confident that it WIll happen if Trump wins. I cant say the same if the unthinkable happens. Praying.
