Top GOP senators: Aleppo 'will be a testament to our moral failure and everlasting shame'
businessinsider ^

Republican Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham issued a blistering statement Tuesday condemning the US' failure to act to prevent the "slaughter" of hundreds of thousands of people in Syria.

"The words 'never again' ring hollow today with reports that Aleppo is falling to Assad regime forces," the senators wrote, amid reports that forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad were on the brink of fully recapturing the besieged city of Aleppo from opposition forces.

"For four long years, Aleppo has been at the center of the Assad regime's war on the Syrian people," the statement continued. "Together with its Russian and Iranian allies, the Assad regime has relentless targeted women and children, doctors and rescue workers, hospitals and bakeries, aid warehouses and humanitarian convoys.

Rah rah rah... the worn out ghoulish, neocon-globalist “conquer the world for democracy” plate.

Yeah it would be just so great to have Syria fall into the hands of Saudi-funded, Erdogan-supported jihadi cutthroats./sarcasm

Assad is a saint compared to the alternative and the jihadi terrorists will get their just deserts at the hands of Assad/Putin.

"WTH,do these two dummies just follow each other around all day and make ignorant statements all day?"

Pretty much. In the morning, McCain walks in front and after lunch, Graham walks in front. That way each one gets a chance to be the tail-gunner.

This should read as "For four long years, the Saudis and Qataris have been lining our pockets and supporting for our political campaigns. We have made their gas pipeline to Europe the center of our foreign policy because that's what we've been paid to do. We don't really give a damn about the children and hospitals and all that other crap."

Good grief...are these guys always together?

Yes. I'm guessing McCain plays the "husband."

I find myself wondering how much better off we’d be if John McCain crashed his plane in Aleppo instead of Vietnam.

If John McCain feels he is allowed to interfere with Syria, why is he upset that Putin “interfered” with our elections?

Why would Assad want to kill hundreds of thousands of “his own people”? As immortal a dictator as he is, you would think he wants tranquility in his domain.

As evil a creature as he is, he protects Christians, Alawites (his denomination), Yazidis and other minorities within his borders.

Why are McCain and his cronies so determined to remove the 40+ year Assad reign? Why now? Why is it so much important to kill tens of thousands, destroy cities and villages, and bring instability to the region, inviting the worst of the jihadis to wreak havoc?

Who is paying him? To whom is he paying his debt? Who are his masters?

Remember the “Keeting Five” Savings and Loan corruption scandal in 1989?

Paraphrasing from Tom Fitzpatrick:

McCain sold his fame for Charles Keating’s money... but
the tab for the Savings and Loan heist must be paid from taxpayer pockets.

John McCain (was) clearly the guiltiest, most culpable and reprehensible of the Keating Five.

“Why are McCain and his cronies so determined to remove the 40+ year Assad reign?”

Because if they can’t, the Saudis will stop sending money.

Hopefully, some good Syrian Christians, who lost family members and their homes will be able to have a face to with these two enablers of Isis.

These anti Americans may be more dangerous to innocents in the middle east and Americans that Obama is.

These two traitors to humanity are the CIA’s key front men, paid? to spread lies and support their Isis buddies to take out Assad.

Hopefully, after Trump Exo’s the CIA out of existence, some good ex CIA people will reveal how deep these two were involved in attempting overthrown Assad to install Isis or another Muslim radical government.

No, it’s not.
What is happening there is just a continuation of the ISLAMIC CIVIL WAR that has plagued the region for centuries, actually for over 1000 years.

We need no part of it. There is no “our side” in Islam.”

Amen! We have enough oil in the US to handle our needs and our allies until the Arabs kill each other off.
