California Secretary of State Alex Padilla announced Thursday that a ballot initiative called “California Nation” has been approved by the state to begin collecting signatures to qualify for the 2018 ballot. The effort is supported by the “Yes California” campaign, an organization that enjoys the support of the Russian government and whose founder, Louis Marinelli, now lives in Russia.

Wonder how the Sacredtomato folks plan to verify valid signatures?

They just rushed to delete the data field from the AB60 database at the DMV. They cannot identify the alien (illegal) drivers.

I guess this is another topic for state’s hired gun, Eric Holder, to tackle. Eric may have to increase his retainer fee.

And the 56 electoral votes - it would have been a blowout.

Not if the wall divides red counties from blue counties.

Think it should be #CalLeave: Just Kidding Jim. You gotta admit though, that does sound like a Personal Hygiene product available at Walgreen or CVS Drugs. LOL

.
The whole world is going ‘south’ over the next seven years.

This stuff will die of insignificance in September, I promise.

Geez! If Kalifornia had exited four months ago, President Trump would have won by millions and millions of votes!

They're going to rename the state: Kalico!

I’ll definitely be signing it, to help the state decide whether to secede. And if that were to happen, I’ll move my family to the United States.

“California is ready to go to war against it’s fraudulently elected masters.”

California is? Nope. Not even close. California is almost completely in the hands of “it’s fraudulently elected masters.” And they’re not going anywhere. California, electorally, is lost and has been for some years now. I don’t know if anything can really change that now - well, perhaps a financial disaster of some kind.

California is a net contributor of federal funds.

Once we throw out all the illegal aliens, California will be a red State again.

They'd better hurry up with that vote...

I live in a very rural area in Oregon, east of the Cascades. I would love to see the state separated, and the idea of the state of Jefferson. Actually, thinking the state of Trump might be more fitting at this time. We are mostly red on this side of the state, and I am 5th generation Oregon. I want my state back, lol.

Both of you are correct. Calexit would be the end of the Rat party as you have noted.

There would be another wooden spike driven into these dead and illegal voters.

That would be those of us organizing the State of Jefferson and leaving the new CalExit/Californicator/LaRaza country. The new state of Jefferson would be a deeply Red State with two conservative senators and a lot of conservative congressits. West Virginia left Virginia, so the precedent is there.

Jim would keep Free Republic in Fresno in the new red State of Jefferson. Free Republic would become the conservative media outlet for the new state of Jefferson as well as the other Red States in America. The number of Red States will grow each election in the next eight years.

Our state of Jefferson would produce the food and control the water for the rest of what was California before CalExit. Even liberals need food and water. Probably most of the natural gas needed to heat the state and provide electricity would be in the new state of Jefferson. So we would not sell food, water or energy to the New LaRaza country.

Then, the new Calexit country would be without food, water, electricity and natural gas and a good tax revenue base.

In less than 2-3 years the good citizens in the new country of Californicator/LaRaza would have staged a successful coup and rid the world of the evil ones in the Californicator/Laraza country. They would beg to be accepted in the new state of Jefferson and the United States. They would be only accepted as a commonwealth area until they proved that they would be good Americans. We would give Gay Frisco, Oakland, San Jose and what was LA to Mexico, if Mexico would take it.

Heck, I might sign a petition and get paid to have stands outside of Whole Food and Target to get signatures for CalExit petitions. As noted on this thread, CalExit would be the death of the rat party in future presidential elections. Then, the new state of Jefferson would bring about the end of CalExit, aka LaRaza.

California Libs be very careful of what you want in today’s world. You might get it and a lot that you don’t want.

I lived in Northern (or as we used to call if Superior ) California 40 years ago. I recognize that half the state by area is conservative. They would be welcome to stay. The rest can leave with my blessing, for what’s that worth.

I agree. This idea isn’t going away. It may be 2 (soft ) civil wars.

The Red counties (the East half of the state) trying to get away from liberal California (coastal.)
And the coastal counties trying to get away from the US.

I highly doubt this would become a civil war in the old bloody types of the past as liberal Calif is mostly made up of pussies, crooks, drug addicts, perverts and the liberal elite from Hollywood and Silicone Valley that are pushing the idea but would never let it ruin their safety bubble and income steams.

Red Calif is another animal, an angry one at that having lived under the leftist theocracy

This issue is not just unique to Calif but is really rural vs urban America. Two different life syles but one set of solutions put forth by government to rule both.

I think the solutions lay in a layered governance of both groups that allows different solutions to the different life styles without “one rule fits all” mentality.

BTW... I’m 25 years ahead of the curve....hehe
