Comey was never asked directly: was Trump or the campaign wiretapped? The closest question is: did Obama have Trump wiretapped.
The hearing is not an investigation, it’s a psy-op.
Be careful. I don’t have the transcript but just re-watched Comey’s answer to one question about whether Trumps tweets were correct, and Comey’s response was “I have no information that supports those tweets, and we have looked carefully inside the FBI”.
So now let’s analyze and parse, Clinton-style:
1. “I” - not “we” or “the FBI”. Plausible deniability. Comey said he personally has no informaton, not that such information doesn’t exists even inside the FBI.
2. “Supports those tweets” - refers to the specific language Trump used. This could get into another set of minutia, but for example, it could be the definition of “wiretap” vs. some other form of surveillance, the previous discussion about whether Obama “ordered” it, etc. Lots of loopholes.
3. “looked carefully”. That’s a weasel-word just like saying “as far as I know” or “to my best knowledge”. If such evidence becomes known in the future Comey would not be accused of lying, just of not “looking carefully” enough.
Comey’s a lawyer and you don’t get to be head of FBI without being not only smart but also shrewd. He knows many things we can’t even guess at, including other investigations that may be ongoing that intersect with this one. He also knows testimony before Congress must be factual, but that does not prevent him from choosing his words very carefully, which I’m certain he did.
So if Nunes is saying this to the Press, where is good ole Dem Schiff? What does he have to say besides - Duh

Very easy to monitor a specific individual intentionally during an "incidental collection".
Try to understand how paranoid Obama was as the 2016 race cratered on and his third term in the person of Hillary wasn't "150" points ahead.
There was a lot at stake....Obama knew how much he had hidden during his eight years.
If Trump won it would all be unveiled.
Obama HAD to do something....surveilling Donald to get something damaging on him was his only reliable tool......so he thought.
A Slam, Bridge, I worked for several Trump types, these people NEVER do anything unless the odds are on their side.
Trump is great actor but he also a great planner, he has a public face but like a good lawyer he never does anything he can’t back up.
Remember at the top level, business makes Politics like a kids game.
Trump has amazing instincts on 'the forest' (as opposed to 'the trees') he's probably right on what was happening.

The sound of truth is overwhelming. To our adversaries: Take heed. For a single blow you land on this President, you will see multiple blows strike you until you fall.
Obama, Comey, etc. sound more and more like Bill Clinton's excuse "Depends on what the meaning of 'is', is."; except in this case it "Depends on what the meaning of 'wiretap' is".
Of course Donald Trump and associates were wiretapped. Obama's people just won't call it that, because in this day and age fancy electronic means are used to intercept communications instead of old physical taps on telephone wires. President Trump is absolutely correct about the evil Obama administration.
Trump reminds me of a good lawyer, as well.....
Specifically, the lawyer who NEVER asks a question unless he already has the answer.
Comey’s “I have no information....” could mean that “I don’t personally posses it at this moment”. He gave lawyer statements like you hear during a trial. Jury has to cut through the fog with these crooked bastards.
