Same judge. Same courtroom.
Similar background of defendant: An immigrant from a Central American country charged with a serious crime in Omaha.
Same $5,000 needed to get out of jail, pending trial.
Same result: A defendant who has since disappeared.
Authorities are scrambling after another immigrant defendant posted bail, was released from the Douglas County Jail, skipped his court appearance and hasn’t been found since.
On Feb. 16, Douglas County Judge Jeffrey Marcuzzo set bail at $5,000 cash for Gabino Vargas-Perez, a Guatemalan immigrant who authorities say is here legally.

Unfrickin believable and the citizens of Omaha voted to retain him.
Damn this judge. He should go to jail. Illegal aliens who rape Americans should be hanged.

It takes a special kind of insanity to think that someone who broke numerous laws to be here, then committed a heinous crime, should now be trusted to show up in court.

So, how does this judge remain in office?
Family member or friend. A small price to get out of jail.
I think the charge should have been rape, not statutory rape. Because according to her she did not consent to the sex. Statutory rape leads one to believe that it was consensual, but that one participant is under the age of consent.

No member of the government , and that includes Judges, should feel invulnerable from the citizenry.
...better START fingerprinting these criminals....keep them secure....record the prints BEFORE next re-entry,apply for ANY BENEFITS, (and that includes any family members)....there HAS TO BE A PRICE PAID.... this $5000

He should go someplace a lot deeper and hotter than jail. But that's in better hands than ours. For now, he should be peacefully removed from office and then shunned by all decent people for the rest of his life.
