I like the riverbank analogy. And any dime-store psychologist will tell you that rewarding a certain behavior tends to reinforce that behavior, while punishing it is a disincentive.

Logic just seems to escape liberals. It interferes with their smug sense of self-worth and tarnishes their presumptive status as saviors of mankind. The truth is, they're mankind's greatest enemies.

The real question is how those people isolate themselves form everyone who will say, “Are you nuts?” “I never heard such hogwash in my life”. I wouldn’t be able to help myself, the words would just rise up.
If I was in a class I would have better self control but in a public setting no way. At the very least my facial expression would give me away. The faculty at most universities are carefully picked and mentally handicapped.
