Swamp People: 47; Trump: 0
Breitbart ^ | May 3, 2017 | Ann Coulter

If this is the budget deal we get when Republicans control the House, the Senate and the presidency, there’s no point in ever voting for a Republican again.

Not only is there no funding for a wall, but — thanks to the deft negotiating skills of House Speaker Paul Ryan — the bill actually prohibits money from being spent on a wall.

At a CYA press conference on Tuesday, Trump’s ridiculously chipper budget director, Mick Mulvaney, described the bill’s prohibition on building a wall as a MAJOR win. (At least Mulvaney said it in English, unlike his all-Spanish 2014 townhall.)

This was a seminal event.

A little over 3 months and all can be done in a four year presidential term? Noooo and nope.

This was the first budget in a decade.

It's a "Continuing Budget Resolution" that goes for 4 months. The next fiscal budget year starts on October first. Trump's first budget.

It was a devastating surrender of our goals and objectives tantamount to the Japanese surrender on the Battleship Missouri.

LoL absurdity.

We lost miserably . There will be no more budgets.

LoL. No more budgets? Sure.

This was put up or shut up time. This was make it or break it time. If this wasn’t the end , it is the beginning of the end.

Are you competitive? You sure give up easy. So time take your marbles and go home. Trump sure will not do that.

ok thanks. Have a great day .

Don't thank me, mewling spur-galled mammet! You are a shallow cowardly hind, and you lie. Come, come, you talk greasily; your lips grow foul. You are a fobbing toad-spotted dewberry and a mammering tickle-brained jolt-head! You are already crippled, stabbed with a white wench's black eye, run through the ear with a love song, the very pin of your heart cleft with the blind bow-boy's butt shaft.

My guess is that it was just a football metaphor of sorts. Any outrageous number would have worked, but perhaps there is something I am missing...hmmm.

"That is something we have not seen in decades."

We saw it just 10 years ago when congress agreed to build the fence in the first place. And here we are now with no real fence or wall to speak of. Same old same old.

Commonly referred to as a ruse. I don't bieleve that is the case this time as there is actual wall being built at this very moment.

” ... the bill actually prohibits money from being spent on a wall. I keep hearing this, but the people claiming it never provide proof from the bill itself.”

Maybe it’s semantics and they’re using the word “prohibits money” because it’s true: the bill doesn’t allocate any money for building the wall.

You can read the bill at the link below, if you are prepared to peruse all 1,687 pages as well as subscribe to the Congressional Quarterly.

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi said in a statement. “The omnibus does not fund President Trump’s immoral and unwise border wall or create a cruel new deportation force.” - See more at: http://www.rollcall.com/news/politics/omnibus-spending-bill-budget-trump-agenda#sthash.ERn430Zi.dpuf

Sure, Her Histrionics Nanzi doesn’t always read stuff before it’s passed and she’s often wrong about things, but if she’s saying the wall isn’t funded and Spicer isn’t responding with something like, “That’s not true.” then that’s what’s called a `tacit admission’.

They’re basically agreeing to continue spending money on e-stuff and barbed-wire tightening authorized under the Secure Fence act, the sop that failed to get amnesty: IOW, stuff that doesn’t work from companies like Viper, Wham-O and Mattel.

“stereotyping and name calling”

If you get this offended at Baldy calling you a “newbie,” I think you’re likely to be disappointed often here. People get called newbies all the time at FR, including sometimes even after being here a year or two, and it definitely doesn’t violate the rules. Just look at it as a rite of passage.

It will be easier if you try not to be so overly sensitive, as debates often get much more heated than this here. Reading the original post, your response seems like quite an overreaction. And “RINO” seems to me much more clearly a “personal attack” than “newbie”too, by the way. Maybe you’re upset that he pointed out you were being discouraging, but you can’t deny that was a totally reasonable interpretation surely. And you had to be trying for dramatic effect in your initial really over-the-top post. Right?

That being said, welcome! If you try not to take things too personally, you can have a lot of fun here and the article selections are often great.

I am a staunch conservative, pro-God, pro-life, pro-gun, pro-Constitution, conservative, but I am more than fed up with those on the right like, Ann Coulter, who act as if they own Donald Trump.

This man is not going to be a puppet in her hands or anyone else’s hands.

He is working with what he has got and he has given me ZERO reason to whine and bellyache over his decisions.

My God, what this man has accomplished in such a short time, including putting an Originalist of the Constitution on the Supreme Courtis breathtaking.

Those who truly support the President, can’t even really enjoy all that he has already done in dismantling the liberal stranglehold on this country for bitching purists, who demand 100% and always end up with 0%.

I’m just sick of it and I hope the President will ignore them.

Thanks for the laugh, Laz. I was already laughing out loud at some of the absurd drama queen pronouncements on this thread, but my cheek muscles are hurting now from laughing at the zany humor of your posts. Shakespeare would have loved you.

Are we all being played?

How do we know if this particular budget deal is not being agreed to by Trump so he can win bigger in something else?

Every conservative from Rush on down is blasting Trump. Could it be on purpose?

But consider this: the most cunning foxes in the country are Trump, his Cabinet and advisors.

My guess is the Dems wanted an opportunity to say, "Trump got rolled" and Trump is giving it to them. It's part of a larger deal.

Do you think he is using this as a carrot to get healthcare passed. If he wasn’t, wouldn’t he have signed it already? I guess that is why I was curious about the process. I’m just trying to figure out what is REALLY going on here but aren’t we all?

How many times does Coulter have to get egg on her face before she learns to STFU and let Trump play his strategies out. It’s a 5-month budget for goodness sakes.

Limbaugh isn’t much better with all his advice now for Trump. Big shot phony that he is. Headpiece filled with straw.
